I’ve given it 4 stars because I felt the breakfast was good but a little basic with not enough hot vegetarian options, and the location was a bit farther out so, longer walks, longer bus journeys or more taxis. Hotel Reykjavík Grand
Lovely modern hotel with very friendly and helpful staff. Rooms a good size with lots of storage and very clean. Breakfast was excellent with so much choice. The only downside for us was the distance to the centre of Reykjavík, but not a major problem at all.

Center Hotels Laugavegur
Simple convenient hotel in the city. Fabulous breakfast and always warm in the hotel, very important after a night trip. Modern bathroom and plenty of hot water. Only grumble was there for 3 nights and room wasn't cleaned or towels changed despite asking for daily cleaning on check in. All in all ...
