"It was mostly great having the volcanic pools on site. Property was heavily carpeted even though a lot of moisture and not too clean in the shared areas. Very busy with guests and not enough staff on the grounds especially during breakfast / mealtimes / trying to book spa appointments."

"Firstly, I must say that the staff at the VIP Executive Azores Hotel is by far the most professional, helpful and friendly staff we've ever interacted with. The service throughout our stay was exemplary. Our deepest thanks goes to restaurant staff Hugo, Paulo, Erica and Elizaura. Enrique at the reception desk was always helpful and ready to hear about our day. The hotel is perfectly situated to the City Centre, the harbour, the pineapple plantation and the botanical gardens. The restaurant meals were fantastic, from the breakfast and dinner buffets to the sit down service provided at lunch. Our room balcony faced the ocean, and the rooftop terrace provides a view of the harbour and the landscape. Great experience!"
