pool is a must and was so relaxing. The food at restaurant and the included breakfast were over the top wonderful. And at check-in we were fretted with champagne. Perfect respite on a busy itinerary. "

"Amazing stay. Beautiful historical building from the 16th Century and it was once the university of Catalina. Room is big. Breakfast was great, too. The highlight is the spa and the building itself. Will definitely come back if I come back to El Burgo de Osma."

"Great place to stay when crossing Spain. We were close to the Autopista but just far enough to avoid any noise. Enjoyed the
pool and a nice restaurant with a good choice of foods - ideal for travelling when you do not know what you prefer to eat after a long journey. Helpful staff and they were speaking English to me despite me trying to speak to them in Spanish. Would definitely stay again."

"The hotel is stylish & up-market. it has a lovely swimming
pool area. The rooms are very clean and comfortable. reception staff were very pleasant and helpful.
The
pool bar was closed which was a shame during the daytime heat . The service in the restaurant was a bit slow but the food was very good and not overly priced. We would definitely stay here again as the hotel is very central and the town of Penafiel is lovely"

"Overall nice hotel, the breakfast was good and the view from the top is amazing. Parking is a little tight, staff very welcoming and accommodating. They do have an issue with flies, around the main entrance and on the roof. If you open the window in your room, the flies will find their way in. "

"Stayed here a few years back and it was excellent. This time was a little disappointed. Room was not up to a 5 star hotel. On arrival tv didn’t work and room as awfully hot. Bathroom outdated. However, food at the restaurant was excellent and so was service. Thy got things taken care of very professionally. "
