"Monica was the friendliest most enthusiastic host we’ve stayed with. Everything from her greeting to the amazing breakfast was perfect. She does a lot of baking, so the breakfast was really a treat and you could also get eggs cooked in various ways. The room was a little small but very comfortable. Parking was on the street, but it was fairly close and easy."

"Pros:
1. Beautiful property with an amazing view.
2. Spacious family suite
3. Comfortable bed
4. Quiet, waking up to birds singing in the morning.
Cons:
1. Stink bugs in the suite; once we understood they are common this time of year and easy to capture and release outside, it was ok.
2. Showers are very small.
3. A/C not turned on this time of year; was not offered fans until the last day.
4. Minimal amenities.
5. Few outlets
The villa is beautiful, just be prepared for a “rustic”...

"Beautiful villa, very spacious, gorgeous property and great restaurant on the property to have a delicious meal. Staff very welcoming. Close to other main cities, like Siena, for day trips. We loved sitting by the pool, although it wasn’t heated, so too cold to use in April. We did love using the indoor heated pool and hot tub each day. We had a fabulous time and hope to go back someday! "

"No 24 hour shuttle to airport as advertised (it cost about 100-200 euros to get your own transportation). The hotel Charges 2.5 Euros each way for their shuttle to and from the city. The shuttle drops you off about a mile from the actual city center no where near anything and it has other stops on the way, it also has limited pick up and drop offs. It is cheaper and more convenient to take the city bus.
The air conditioning was blowing hot air on the lowest setting the first 2 nights, the best the hotel offered was a fan, no one came to inspect or fix after 2 calls. It was well over 80F in the room, it was much hotter inside than outside. this force us to open windows to cool the place down, then we where eaten alive by bugs because they don't have screens. overall not impressed.
The menu also only included extremely fancy dishes that seemed overpriced and didn't offer much for the common person. the hotel wasn't near anything so you really have to plan ahead for food so you don't have to pay 40 euros each way for a taxi."
"Staff members were very professional and highly attentive. The central location is excellent. Rooms are updated but maintain a period look & feel. The lobby bar service and food quality are very good."
"Spacious and nice lobby
Helpful staff and excellent breakfast buffet
Good air conditioning
Clean room.
Appreciated the welcome gift for my service dog"
"The accommodations were great! Location is very central, can walk to anything. Probably the best hotel of our vacation in that regard.
Word of caution if arriving with a car, this hotel is located "deep" inside a ZTL, or limited transit zone. The hotel/staff make no accommodation for this. We arrived on a weekend and ZTL was open. Hence we were able to unload at the hotel. Check out a very different story, ZTL was "attivo". 70-80 Euro fine if going through ZTL. Hotel passed this off to the parking garage and parking garage washed their hands of us once we paid. So long story, we had to find a place to pull over "illegal park" and one person wait while the other walked luggage to the car. Quite the unplanned ordeal."
"OMG

ONSITE RESTURANT
SHUTTLE SERVICE/ again staff
Add to that that you’re living within an estate immaculately maintain hundreds of acres of olive trees, shrubbery, gardens all coming together for you to be able to walk around and enjoy. Can’t say enough about this place and the staff."
"The room was always very clean and made up, but we never saw anyone come to clean it. They were very efficient.
The bar on the rooftop actually had more food selections than I anticipated. We enjoyed our time up there.
The breakfasts were top-notch. We enjoyed the hot food the most when it was just brought out because it did cool down after a while.
Location was very convenient and close to so much. The rooms are solidly built we heard almost nothing from any other room.
Elevators were a bit slow, but the stairs were very convenient.
The Degli Orafi very much exceeded our expectations."
