They did not have our reservation when we got there. Apparently they stopped using your app for booking reservations. They were able to find us a room for the night

Quiet, clean, friendly staff, easy check-in, ample parking, very comfortable beds and sizeable rooms, but best of all was the on-site restaurant with fabulous food, lots of options, big portions and great service. All combined for an excellent experience and a great stay. We will definitely return the next time we journey through this area.

Time to update or sell it.
It a nice hotel. For the area. Staff was great Needs some updates. Need new beds to hard. Pillow were flat. Heat didn't work all that great. Can't set your own temperature. Seams like the owner doesn't update anything at the hotel. I stay 1 week a year their because of work. In the past 10 years nothing has changed. I can't see paying 150 a night to stay an hour away

This is a hidden gem. Granted, the property is dated, so don't expect the Hilton. But, the room was clean, the bedding was comfortable, and guest services were excellent from check in to check out. Bathroom spotless, with plenty of linens and bath supplies. Room temperature was nice and warm on that cold night, temperature was fully adjustable so heat was turned down a bit for comfortable night's sleep. The only negatives: a few of the dresser drawers were loose and one was missing a drawer pull handle and there was no hair dryer in the room. I believe i could have obtained one from the front desk if i had needed one though. Also front desk closes at 10 p.m. Free continental breakfast included which was more than adequate. It included 2 kinds of bread for toasting, breakfast pastries, cold cereal selection, yogurt, and coffee, tea and milk. All included and we got a room for 4 people for $88 plus tax. Can't be beat for a group planning a hunting trip or nature hike in the area. Also the towns nearby have multiple shopping areas, eateries and places to visit. Area was quiet and safe.

The property is on a major route for easy access. The managers were accommodating to our special request for checking in early. They were very busy the weekend we stayed that we had to make 2 separate reservations for each nights stay. They gave us the key to the second room in the morning when we checked out of the first room. The continental breakfast was toast with jams, OJ, milk, cereal, and pastries, coffee and tea. Restaurant on the grounds was not open for breakfast.

The inn was clean….we had two rooms and was in the updated section… the restaurant had several specials (not extremely reasonable) however we didn’t partake… breakfast was definitely Continental…. Coffee, cold cereal, bread with toaster and prepackaged sweet rolls.. we had a great trip and saw several elk in Elk County….

I think they need more outlets in the rooms. Maybe one in the bathroom area. Thank you. We did enjoy our stay. The food was great at the lounge too.

When we arrived to check in, had to ring the bell to get service. Waited about five minutes, then this staff comes behind the desk and this is what she says. “ What do you want?” Wasn’t sure how I was suppose to respond, since I’m standing at the motel check in counter. But I decided to keep my cool and said that we had a reservation. Then the next night we decided to check out this fine dinning restaurant they posted about. We walked in about 7:25, then the server had the nerve to say to us, the kitchen closes at 9. If you going to order anything, and we close at that time also. We decided to just to order an appetizer, and a drink and leave. But, two other regular customers came in and they never said a word about what time the kitchen closes. So now it’s time to check out, we let them know that the room was very hot and we had the heater off. Not sure if you guys knew something was wrong. She laughed and said yeah that’s one of the hottest rooms, it’s next to the broiler room. How rude can this place be. If they knew this, and this place had so many empty rooms, why would you give it to us or anyone. So from the first day till the last day. The service was terrible and I would not recommend it to anyone. Now if you are looking for a great place to eat and feel welcomed. Drive a mile down road to Summit Inn. We ended up eating there twice and the food was wonderful and the service was Amazing!!! We will definitely be staying at the Summit next visit.

I appreciated the owner of the hotel, trying to help us figure out why our television wasn’t working well. After sending a young person, he was able to figure out how to make the remote work the television be great to have some instructions in the room outlining the process.

Reunion not a problem
I found that I was one of a few people there who were not at the Ridgway Reunion. It was very lively until 11:00. The bartenders specifically stated that they needed to form carpools and start shuttling the guests home, using their own cars. Very fun, yet responsible. It was quiet at my room.

The property was dated and could use a refresh. The room seemed clean but the air conditioner was not. It was mounted in the wall next to the bed and you could clearly see the build up on it. The room was cheaply decorated. The bathroom counter seemed liked something you would see in an old auto repair shop. My room was extremely hard to get into…seemed to be some issue with the lock and key. I told the front desk and the guy just said okay as he put the key away. Left me with the Impression that he didn’t care at all. Only saving grace is this place was inexpensive and on my route. However, I would not share they again. Had I been traveling with my family, I most likely would not have stayed after I saw the place in person.

This was an overnight stopover on a longer family trip. For this, I am looking for a clean, quiet, comfortable, bug-free room that is in good repair. This hotel met all of these needs. The room we had was quieter than many higher priced hotels I've stayed at. The heating&A/C unit's fan provided a pleasant white noise and it did not get appreciably louder when the A/C kicked in. The A/C unit worked very well. We also did not hear anything from our nieghbors. The beds sported good quality, clean mattresses and bedding that were comfortable. To address other reviews: Is the decor dated? Yes but it was in good condition. Was the room perfect? No, it had some warped trim above the sink and a bent, but still usable, curtain rod over the window. Did this matter to me? NO. The carpets and surfaces were clean, there were no cobwebs anywhere, there were no signs of bed bugs, the beds were comfortable, and we got a good night's sleep. Best of all, it did not break the bank. The hotel does not have interior hallways. All doors are exterior doors for units. This meant that we were able to park our car right next to the door for our unit. Compare that to having to carry your stuff 200 feet from your car to your room in a Hilton or Marriott. The breakfast is nothing special. Mainly packaged danishes and toast. My only complaint is that I booked the room at $88 on Expedia; but, the property charged me their base $97.25 at checkout. We would consider returning in the future.

Elk County visit
Hotel is older so a little rundown, but very clean,staff are wonderful,food is delicious. All in all a great experience.
