"Just ok for 1 night"

"We ordered from the breakfast menu and found that our meals to be excellent. The staff person at the front desk went out of their way to help us adjust our planned activities for the next day. She may have been the most helpful person we have ever dealt with in a hotel. A real gem of a lady."

"I had read the reviews for this property and was prepared. It’s an old property sadly in need of an upgrade. Not good if it’s your first impression of NZ. I picked it for our last night before an early am flight so it was about convenience. Room quite dated with not so comfy bed. Clean though. Bathroom old and tired but clean. Minimal outlet points for charging devices - something needed before or after a flight! Has wooden floors and we could hear the group upstairs running along the corridor late into the night. Good parking. Has a bar and restaurant on site with a limited menu. But better than nothing after a long flight. "
