Hotels near Rincón de la Vieja Volcano

"There was some road noise as the hotel is next to a major route in Liberia. There are peacocks that roam around the property they can be noisy at night I know this is out of the hotels control. Staff was friendly, price was right and it is near the airport."

"Lovely pools and botanical gardens. We even saw a sloth in the trees. Only downfall was the location, the road to the hotel was not ideal. 30+ km on very poor gravel road. We did a waterfall hike which was fantastic! "

"Beautiful location. Gorgeous sunsets, really nice pool, food was very good and the room was fine. The included hot springs were absolutely gorgeous and a highlight of our trip. I was a bit surprised there was no air conditioning in our room but realize that this isn’t widely available and wasn’t really necessary once it cooled down at night. We paid for a few of the additional adventure park activities (water slide and night hike) and they were excellent too. "

"Internet was terrible not working most of the time. Shower head terrible even after they tried fixing it. Toilet was leaking and making noise. Doom was not sealed properly so bugs came in. Toilet door squeaking. No mini fridge on the room and had to beg for one. No microwave coffee pot or blow dryer. No electricity in the bathroom. Tv was not working well and couldn’t connect to our Netflix account (we could do it in other hotels in CR) the Jacuzzi was boiling hot on the night we wanted to use it and no one could go inside (including other guests) but i think it was ok on other nights. The breakfast was not tasty at all! They managed to ruin even the scrambled eggs… the only plus on this hotel was the pool but i do not recommend staying there. "

"Great place to stay and enjoy the peacefulness. Incredible and thoughtful staff (Connie and her husband who are managing the property are the nicest people, who obviously love and enjoy what they do), unbelievable views, great like home-made food. "

" A long and bumpy ride up to the lodge. As soon as you check in they force you to pay for breakfast as you are disoriented and tired from the ride. You are told you are not allowed to decide in the morning if you are even hungry. Paid for two for breakfast. In the morning only one could eat breakfast because the other was sick. Asked for a refund for the one, two weeks later never received it compensation. Also Couldn’t even open my balcony door because the outside smell of sewage. Paper thin walls where you could hear everything next door…Too bad as place has potential. "

"The hosts are amazing and make you feel very welcomed. They are some of the best hosts we’ve ever had. Breakfast was so good and the property is very beautiful. We had an amazing time exploring the area while we were there. I stayed with two young boys and they loved it here. "

"I got stuck at the Liberia airport and all the smaller hotels around were booked. Thank goodness the airport had Internet and I found this little gem. I got a cab which cost about $65 American and headed out there. Had a nice comfy little cottage but don’t expect a western chain hotel experience it’s more like going to summer camp. But it was super adventurous and fun. The people were warm and hospitable, and it was wonderful to be so close to nature. Next time I’ll consider this place and enjoy more of the adventure amenities like zip lining and horseback riding. I really did enjoy the mud bath and the natural geothermal pools they had. There also was a very lively pool with some bartenders who were making some outstanding cocktails. I got this virgin passionfruit drink that was just outstanding."

"Lovely location, just don't take the back road that sends you driving through a creek! Staff and property were lovely, helpful, beautiful. The best food we had our entire stay in Costa Rica! Would recommend to anyone! "
