"First of all it could not be found. My sat nav couldn't find it. Varney Rd did not have a street sign and I don't think 44 actually exists. It took over 1 hour to locate this den. The key lockbox is situated on a wall, unmarked, and with all adjacent doors un numbered, on what can only be described as wasteland behind some shops. "We stayed at this Radisson again as we attend the Donington race meetings. The hotel is fine, price reasonable, but the £15 charge to park your car overnight is steep - and obviously aimed at those going on holiday from East Midlands airport. Frustrating as we are just parking overnight as we attend two days at Donington Park circuit. We use the lobby bar, but we don't use the Runway restaurant anymore (we go into Castle Donington). Hotel rooms are ok, but the 'hum' droning noise from the airconditioning or whatever it is in the bathroom is not welcome. It has been going on for a long time (we stay here maybe three times a year). So keep the toilet and bathroom doors shut. But the hotel is a handy location and does the job."
