"A great stay right from the start the manager and staff were helpful and friendly. I was particularly touched when the chef made an off menu option for my autistic son as he was unable to manage any of the listed items. The rooms were beautifully set out and the bed was so comfortable. I usually struggle to sleep away from home but not here. I also loved the toiletries were Bramley (my fave) it added a touch of luxury to an already luxurious stay. The food in the restaurant was top notch and I can’t speak highly enough of the staff and manager who all went out of their way to ensure a warm welcome and comfortable stay. "

"Staff were helpful and friendly but property is very tired. Paint is peeling in bathrooms and bedroom, and the room smelt slightly damp. There were no electric sockets near headboard, we needed an extension cable running across the room. Corridor was in severe need of vaccuming. The property needs redecorating and deep cleaning."

"This B&B is in a nice setting. Although it’s on the main road, it’s quite set back and the pub being just opposite this makes for a lovely combination. There is also a convenience store along the road if you wanted to get a morning newspaper etc. The room was very spacious which was nice. Just had to be careful of the beams. The only thing I didn’t enjoy personally was that the owner was quite headmistress like in terms of rules and what she wanted, which basically made us feel like kids being told off, which is not something I want when paying £118 for an overnight stay, but my partner says that perhaps B&Bs are not for me. Back to standard hotels I think…."
