"I think this was then only chain type hotel there in South Fork? Staff was courteous. I was only passing through on my way up to Wolf Creek to ski and stayed for one evening but it worked well for my stop. The only thing I would keep in mind is that there is no elevator. So if you have a heavy amount of gear or a lot of bags, you may want to request a ground level room. The stairway is right in the lobby leading straight up to the 2nd floor. Overall, it worked well and was convenient for my stop there in South Fork. "

"A beautiful old building with lovely, clean, comfortable rooms. The Dining Room and the bistro have excellent food, great vibe, great staff. The ideal location for exploring the San Luis Valley. I will definitely be back. "
