"The wall mounted air conditioner was apparently broken in the room, so they installed a temporary window unit that was very loud and pointed straight at the bed. Between the cold air blowing on us and the intermittent noise of the unit running, it was hard to hear the TV, let alone get to sleep. "The Plaza is an old school hotel, in a good way. It is a neighborhood institution and has an outstanding, convenient and walkable location. The room was not modern, but clean, quiet, spacious and comfortable. Parking is convenient. The on-premise, vintage restaurant serves some of the best breakfasts anywhere, and unlike most hotel restaurants, absolutely worth a stop even if you’re not staying there."

"We were delighted by the unique, authentic restaurant and hotel room. While the building is older, it has a very cozy and well-cared for atmosphere. Four of us dined in the restaurant and found the dinner to be superb. Chef-created omelettes in the morning were a great finishing touch to our stay."

"The hotel was in a great location close to veterans park. Safe and quiet area. The parking lot was full as we checked in very late. Finding street parking was easy and hotel staff was helpful. The room was clean. The building is older and had so much charm. Building is secure. We had a junior suite with dining and kitchen area. Room was spacious. Short walk or drive to river walk."
