My wife and I spent our honeymoon here and were so glad that we did. The owners and staff were very helpful and accommodating. The room was a decent size and seemed very recently renovated, although the lovely ceilings looked original. Everything was clean and the bed was very comfy.
Our room overlooked Piazza di Pasquino, which is rather lively in the evenings. We quite enjoyed the sounds of the diners and buskers in the evenings, but that might not be for everyone. It certainly wasn’t loud with the windows closed.
The location is absolutely perfect for seeing Rome. We took taxis with our luggage, but otherwise we were able to get everywhere on foot within 25 mins or so, which is ideal as there’s a view around every corner in Rome.
If we had any complaints, it was that the walls were so thin that you can hear what your neighbours are saying word for word. This wasn’t a problem until our last night, when unfortunately we had some noisy neighbours seemingly having a drunken argument next door. Not really the owner’s fault (it is an old building), but if you are a light sleeper, that might be a problem.
Also, note that you need to climb two floors of spiral staircases to get to the rooms. If you have trouble with stairs, this place is not for you. We didn’t mind the exercise though, especially as the very helpful staff took our luggage up and down.
