A happy stayer
Had a lovely stay at Castle Lodge hotel. A lovely room with a bath and very comfortable. I had a great dinner and breakfast and was surprised at the size of the dinner menu. I dont recall seeing so many choices at a hotel before and the meal i had was homemade from scratch. I will certainly stay there again if in the area .John

Good value and comfortable lodging
Welcoming host who helped with luggage up two flights of stairs and was diligent in facilitating the service for all meals. Excellent food (breakfast and dinner) and comfortable room/bed. On-site parking in large car park. Some slight noise from nearby major road during the night.

Excellent base to explore Ross on Wye and surrounding area. Very friendly hosts, comfortable room, good food and all for a very reasonable price. Highly recommended.

Clean, comfortable and convenient
Castle Lodge Hotel is an old building with lots of charm. The welcome was warm and the room was very clean and comfortable with the ensuite up a few (steep) steps inside the bedroom door. It is conveniently situated close to the the town of Ross on Wye and not far from the main road to South Wales. My evening meal and breakfast the following morning was tasty, well presented and excellent value. It is worth saying again that as this is a characterful building there are steep stairs and some uneven floors, which might provide a challenge for some, but I would happily stay there again.

Wonderful hotel
This is a great hotel with friendly and efficient staff. The location is excellent, being a short walk from the wonderful river Wye but with no road noise to spoil your sleep.We had three nights here and will definitely visit again.

Great stay and well looked after!
Greta last minute stay - well looked after and located in a very convenient location. Outstanding food, especially the evening meal - much better than most local restaurants (IMHO) - such a pleasant surprise. Can't speak highly enough of the hospitality. A great stay!

Lovely, comfortable and convenient hotel
A lovely hotel conveniently situated beside the a40 but within easy walking distance to the centre of ross-on wye and the river wye. Our bed and breakfast rate was great value; the breakfast was amazing with a large selection of hot and cold food and our en-suite room was beautifully furnished and with everything we needed. our hosts were friendly and full of local knowledge. We felt like home from home.

Position of hotel, although could be a little noisy due to closeness to dual carriageway, was convenient for a short and pleasant stroll into Ross on Wye, probably 15 mins walk.

We only needed a bed for the night as we were out all day. The people running the hotel could be seen to make sure you were happy with your stay and were very friendly. Convenient for us as it was in the right spot for the local area.
