"The room was sparsely furnished with towels, chairs, and basic amenities. Beds were comfy. Rooms are NOT soundproofed and the noise from above was incredible - elephants above! The setting is great, in that, there is a grocery store across the way and the building is setback so road noise was very limited. Front desk ppl were pleasant. No freezer in the room, only a small fridge. Clean-ish room - many spiders/webs. Nice that the window opened for fresh air. Fairly priced."

"This was such a wonderful place to stay!! Staff made it super welcoming and the locations was conveniently in the middle of downtown Hood River. It was so relaxing for a couples trip. We had a couples massage and thoroughly enjoyed the sauna and hot tub.P.S the late night snacks were the best."

"I fulfilled a dream with this stay. This is definitely a niche hotel. The facility is more than 100 years old and changes have maintained the original features but also acknowledged the present to the extent possible. (The elevator is staff-operated.) But there are only two floors of rooms. The view is gorgeous, and although numerous trains passed along the river below, the sound was minimal, even with my window open. My stay was midweek, and very pleasant. Those with a love of history and quaint, charming places will love this hotel."

"Comfort Inns seem to be freeway close...like, our room's window looked out at the onramp to I-82! We've seen that in other locations, too. Still, the room/window were well-insulated. Breakfast was fine. We left our jackets in the closet, but the motel mailed them back to us!!!"

"We upgraded our stay to a suite and were pleasantly surprised. The rooms were huge and nicely furnished. The view was breathtaking! We enjoyed a soak in a large tub, and relaxed by the fireplace in the evening. A wonderful way to spend our anniversary!"

"Nice comfy room, clean and in great condition. Floors are well padded and carpeted. Very organized and efficient hotel staff, especially the cleaning staff!! Coffee, cinnamon rolls, pancakes, biscuits and gravy and eggs all really good! Not thrilled with check-in process. Just 2 in front of me and it just took too long. Seems she could have called for backup help?? Just rubbed me the wrong way and staff at check in really lacked personal friendliness, which would have been greatly appreciated after that long drive getting there."
