"Did not eat here. Had drinks in the bar which is well stocked. The hotel is beautifully decorated. Rooms, bed,pillows comfy. Depending on your room excellent views over the harbour/abbey . Short, easy walk into town. "

"We found the Dolphin to be clean throughout, the staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast in the window was excellent well cooked and presented."

"We loved our stay here, it was so near to whitby centre. The room was good, a negative is no where to dry towels. We had to ask for more coffee and sugar, as we were staying three nights. We will recomnend a stay at Penny Hedge. Staff could not do enough for us , all very friendly and polite. We will come again now we know of the hotel . Caroline and Laura were helpful , we rang because we could not quite find your location on our sat nav. staff helped us on this matter and then found you quickley. kind regards to all at penny Hedge. "Really great room beautifully presented clean and comfortable the hot tub bath was incredible. Only negative was there was a dripping noise coming from somewhere, really minor issues overall amazing room would definitely recommend "
