"The staff are so lovely and happy, they make the hotel a pleasure to visit. Excellent food choices and quality is superb. We love that it is small enough to feel friendly and intimate, but large enough to feel lively and has access to a brilliant beach for safe swimming and small bars along the boardwalk. Truly comfortable and spotlessly clean. Our 2nd visit and definitely not our last, I’m sure."

"Wonderful from start to finish. Attention to detail was impressive, pretty looking hotel, tremendous service, fantastic management (Tania Fernandez), great food selection, lovely location, staff were helpful (Scott and others), polite and happy. The Barcelo Portinatx is the last hotel at the end, by a beautiful cove and tranquil beach very close by with the charismatic Carlos, who will provide music, cocktails, sunbeds and shade. Plenty of restaurants serving tasty food nearby. The Barcelo Portinatx has a chilled and cool vibe - great for adults. Complimentary drinks and an unexpected bottle of Cava and chocolates on arrival for our wedding anniversary. Above all else the friendly staff, led by Tania, made our holiday at Barcelo Portinatx a complete joy. Two lovely pools and pool bar serving great food and cocktails is heaven. Again the staff were excellent, very attentive and lovely. The rooms are spacious for two persons, lovely shower and very comfy bed and sea views were lovely. Everything you need in a room. Cleaning and replenishment of room towels etc was excellent. Lovely bar and bar staff with entertainment in the evenings and health events in the mornings. Wellness treatments and an outside gym are available. Really cannot fault anything. We came just at the end of Sept and Portinatx was quiet and chilled. Perfect for us and we would come back in a heartbeat. Lots to do outside of the hotel too. The hippie market in the chic San Joan De Labritja is close by and easy"

"Just got back from a lovely stay at Aguas de Ibiza very relaxing, we stayed in a deluxe room pool view I asked for a room on the 3rd floor as you get better views of the marina. There are two pools one at ground level which is well maintained with service staff always on hand. Also the rooftop pools which along with the bar and restaurant area is stunning again staff serve drinks to you. Only bad comment would be that the bathroom in the room could do with a revamp, we stayed here 9 years ago and the bathrooms are getting a little tired now. The spa area is superb with gym, and plenty of treatments available. All in all a fantastic hotel."

"I booked a room for 4, although we’re 3. Myself and 2 children. Prior to purchasing the trip, I called the hotel twice from the US to ask about the rooms and was told that they are all the same, ie, two twin beds and a pull out sofa double bed. The pictures on the hotel website show that. I found it a bit odd, based on my experience, but accepted it. I booked a room with a pool view. I checked in ahead of time. On arrival, I was given a room for 3 with what could charitably be called a garden view. When I complained, I was told that I was given a better room than I had booked. I insisted and was offered a room in another building. That building had not been renovated. And was also only for 3 people. I was told that nothing could be done that day but I could return to the front desk the following day when the manager would be there to see what could be done. The next morning I returned to the front desk and was again offered a room in the non renovated building. This building is the furthest away from the dining room and entertainment center. Also, no pictures of these rooms are on the hotel website. The room offered did have 2 twin beds and a pull out sofa. However, it was small, such that it was nearly impossible to reach the balcony. It allegedly had a pool view. However, the pool was only visible from an edge of the balcony itself. When I returned to the front desk, I was told that nothing else would be offered. And that the manager had said this."
