"Sadly, not quite the stay I was expecting. The building is being renovated - no mention of this in advance and the hotel front door didn’t lock. I was concerned about my safety but it was late & I just wanted to grr er t to bed. More of the hotel is being updated and no breakfast available - I was given a card to go to a local place for a pancake. Bed was comfy, room was clean enough but I was concerned for my personal safety so checked out early."

"This is a beautiful property. The rooms are lovely and the breakfast is plentiful. What is missing for a four star hotel are little extras that you expect, like slippers and a robe. You also expect a four star hotel to have air conditioning. We stayed in seven hotels during our 23 day trip and this was the only one that didn’t have air conditioning. It was also the most expensive of the hotels. The room temperature was uncomfortable even after they brought a fan. As a result we had three poor nights of sleep. Unfortunately we will not return to this property unless it is during the winter when air conditioning isn’t a factor."
