"Our hotel stay was enjoyable and relaxing. Bazas is 10 mins walk and offers lots of historic buildings, plenty of dining options. Be careful to check restaurant openings in advance as many choose to close on the same weekdays."

"Really wonderful accommodation. Walking distance to town. Not a hotel but a guest house in a refinished and vibrantly appointed (200 year-old?) historical home newly acquired and attentively managed by Sandra, Michael and son Valentin who were the most welcoming, engaging and thoughtful hosts imaginable. Staying there is like at home, as you got that kind of family touch … room is spacious and clean , views throughout the vineyards are stunning! "We had a memorable stay at Hotel Grand Barrail. The service was impeccable from start to finish. The entire property is stunningly beautiful and exceptionally well-maintained. The room was spacious and comfortable, with one of the best hotel beds we’ve ever slept on. We absolutely loved our time here, which was relaxing and rejuvenating, and we hope to return! "

"Badon Boutique is an excellent place to stay in St Emilion, Staff were so helpful, Parking is a real problem in this very popular tourist town but there is spacious parking albeit having to navigate beforehand through the narrow cobbled streets.There are wine shops all around you, including their own. Fabulous restaurants just meters away, including the outstanding L’Huterie Pie, just across the street. If you want to stay in St Emilion ( and you do to stroll the lanes after the tour buses have gone, stay here!!"

"Great location just off the motorway, very efficient check in and although the meal we had was expensive for what appeared to be a microwave dish, we were happy as a family to have it available. The room was large, two separate bedrooms and a huge bathroom. Warm, clean and comfortable."

"Was a decent property in a nice little area, however it clearly needed repairs doing to the property. Random holes in walls, one of the wardrobe doors completly removed and the outside chairs needed replacing. Nothing that a few 100 euro couldnt fix to give this place a 5 stars. The host was friendly.ajd easily contactable. Nearest big supermarket is 1km away which is really handy as it has more or less everything."
