Beautiful Views over Lake Garda

A very comfortable quiet and relaxed hotel ( originally an old convent) overlooking Salo and Lake Garda. The staff at the hotel are superb - the reception staff in particular are some of the best anywhere. The views from the garden and terrace across the lake to the mountains are beautiful. A good pool with lots of loungers and outside seating make this a great place to relax away from the crowds around the lake ,but only a 10 min drive away. A word of warning if you are relying on Sat Nave to find the hotel DO NOT take the small track up past the Hotel Panoramic, continue on the main road unless you are in an original Fiat 500 or smaller!!

Our stay was below average unfortunately- entirely driven by customer service... the hotel's location is reasonably convenient and the rooms were nice. But the check-in lacked any information about the facilities/breakfast times/surrounding area or even just general details of the hotel. We were told we would receive a welcome drink in the bar, but after sitting in the bar with 3 members of staff just talking to each other and ignoring us, we had to go and ask if we could be served. We had the same experience at breakfast on the first morning, a waiter who was serving walked straight past me in the breakfast room and not only ignored me, but could see I was looking around and didn't help in any way to say whether we seat ourselves or wait, or whether it was buffet or an ordered breakfast. Overall we found the staff unhelpful and generally quite rude. The hotel definitely doesn't justify it's price tag sadly.

Paras hotelli, missä olen Italiassa yöpynyt. Huoneessa ei ollut silityslautaa, mutta siivoja silitti paidat ja mekot maksutta. Siivooja vielä ompeli yhden paidannapin joka repsotti, ilman että sitä pyydettiin. TODELLA iso plussa siis palvelusta. Illallinen ja aamiainen olivat kummatkin Italian parhaimpia. Hotelilla häärää usein suomalainen Jaana, sekä hänen poikansa (?). Iso +++.

Vackert men ojämnt

Villa Arcadio ligger fantastiskt med fin utsikt över Gardasjön. Det här var andra gången vi bodde där. Hotellet har hög ambition när det gäller maten på kvällen i restaurangen, den är riktigt bra. Lunchen är inte alls på lika hög nivå, det är tydligt att det är helt annan personal i köket då. Vi hade oturen att det var tre stora sällskap med många barn under ett par av dagarna vi bodde där. Det minskade trivseln. Det här är ett hotell där man förväntar sig, och betalar för, att det skall vara lugnt och stilla. Borde definitivt vara ett adults only-hotell. Servicen är ojämn. Några är väldigt trevliga och service minded och någon var uppenbart missnöjd med sitt jobb. Fantastisk miljö att sitta och äta frukost på innergården på morgonen. Jättefint poolområde. Vi var överlag nöjda men tveksamt om vi kommer tillbaka en tredje gång.

Schönes Hotel leider ohne Fitnessraum

Wir wurden freundlich in der Villa Arcadio empfangen. Das Hotel liegt phantastisch oberhalb von Salo mit genialem Blick auf den Gardasee. Das Zimmer war sauber, das Bett bequem. Die Rezeption war generell sehr freundlich besetzt, am Abreisetag durften wir das Zimmer und den schönen Pool noch bis 15 Uhr nutzen. Das Frühstück war für italienische Verhältnisse gut mit exzellentem Lachs, separat bestellbaren Eierspeisen und gutem Kaffee und Säften. Der Service hier und am Pool war leider nicht immer optimal und wirkte zumindest zeitweise unmotiviert. Die Getränke am Pool waren sehr teuer. Leider war es aufgrund einer Geburtstagsfeier und einer Hochzeit während 2 von 4 Nächten sehr laut und der Pool an einem Tag Nachmittags gesperrt. Die größte Enttäuschung war das Fehlen des Fitnessraums, der im Angebot und auf der Homepage mit "modernen Geräten und Gewichten" angepriesen wird. Es gibt diesen Fitnessraum nicht! Es gibt lediglich einen Fitness Trail im Garten (1,5km lang mit 17 Stationen, die meisten sind Abbildungen von Armbewegungen). Bei über 30 Grad Außentemperatur schon um 9 Uhr morgens war dieser aber nicht wirklich nutzbar.

Nicht wirklich empfehlenswert.

Leider war die Inhaberin nicht besonders freundlich. Das Abendessen war alles andere als gut - eher eine sehr schlechte Imitation eines Sternelokals. Schade eigentlich. Zudem ist das schön gelegene Hotel ist für Familien total ungeeignet.

Wunderschönes Hotel in vorzüglicher Lage

Wir kamen sehr spät an diesem Abend am Hotel an. Der Nachtportiert war korrekt jedoch nicht besonders gesprächig. Das Zimmer war hervorragend und wirklich perfekt sauber. Am nächsten Morgen erwartete uns ein wunderbares Frühstück auf der Terrasse mit schönem Blick über den See. Abends kann man auch im Hotel essen, was wir aber nicht ausprobiert haben. Der Garten, sowie der Pool sind ohne jeden Tadel. Insgesamt eine wunderbare Anlage.

Ein wirklich phantastisches Hotel

Ein wirklich phantastisches Hotel, dass wir so in dieser Qualität am sonst ja eher etwas lauten, hektischen und überlaufenen Gardasee nicht wirklich erwartet hätten. Die ruhige Lage mitten im Grünen, der herrliche Ausblick auf den Gardasee, das unaufdringlich aufmerksame Personal, die kuschelige Atmosphäre, die eher geringe Anzahl der Zimmer, die wirklich geschmackvolle Ausstattung des Hotels und der Zimmer, die Qualität der Küche und die tollen Weine, und Gäste, die dies genauso zu schätzen wissen - beste Voraussetzungen für einen erholsamen Aufenthalt. Wir waren (leider) nur ein Wochenende da, haben aber jede Minute dort genossen und werden sicher wieder kommen. Die Wirklichkeit ist sogar noch sehr viel schöner als die ohnehin schon tollen Bilder und die Beschreibungen auf der Webseite dieses Hotel (oft ist ja genau umgekehrt).
