The property has the charm of a time long gone. Unfortunately, it is also quite old. We had living cockroaches and ants in our bathroom and bedroom. Moreover, our room was adjacent to the street. The noise of traffic woke us up multiple times at night due to the poor insulation of the old windows and walls. On a positive note, the breakfast was good, the location is good, and you have some great views of the old Harbour and Fortress. Finally, the employees at the check-in were nice and very helpful.

Old Building With Great Location

This is an old building that has been somewhat restored. It still needs a lot of work. The matress was not comfortable. However, the location is fantastic; just a few blocks from main sights. And the view from the terrace is great.

This property is not for you if you seek comfort, infrastructure and service. It is super basic, almost spartan and suitable for young backpackers traveling on a tight budget and only looking for a place to drop off bags and sleep. Room 24 is like a jail cell: small. Tiny bathroom, no view. Two slivers of soap. Breakfast? Mediocre. Any redeeming qualities? Just the location.

AC was leaking all over the wall and the floor. They sent someone to fix it but it was leaking during my whole stay. They did offer to change my room but I was already settled in and said no. They did make the bed and change the towels every day. Breakfast was lackluster but included with the stay. Other guests were extremely noisy when walking up and down the stairs, especially the kids who were vocally loud as well while running up and down the stairs.

Hotel muito antigo mas conservado. Muitas escadas , bem complicado para quem Tem mobilidade reduzida . Atenção : existe um salão embaixo do hotel que é usado para festas todos fins de semana Durante o verão , assim se ficar nos quartos mais econômicos será impossível dormir pois o chão do quarto até trepida com o som alto da festa . Felizmente prontamente me realizaram em quarto no segundo andar que estava silencioso ., seg funcionário durante o verão !

Ar condicionado funcionando, localização boa para quem quer ficar próximo ao pelourinho e ao mercado modelo. Café da manhã honesto. O prédio é muito bonito e a arquitetura está muito bem preservada.

Estadia curta que valeu a pena

A estadia foi curta. Passamos a noite apenas para poder pegar o catamarã para Morro de São Paulo no dia seguinte. A pousada é muito bem localizada, distante poucos metros do Elevador Lacerda. A pousada ocupa um prédio histórico e por isso tem algumas limitações, mas o quarto estava limpo, a cama era agradável e o chuveiro e ar condicionado funcionaram perfeitamente. O café da manhã consideramos bom. A equipe foi atenciosa desde o início da hospedagem. De uma maneira geral foi uma excelente relação custo benefício.

Pousada bem localizada porém bem rústica. Moveis antigose uma chave por quarto independente do numero de hospedes. Antendimento da recepcao excelente tanto do Marcelo a noite como do outro recepcionista pela manha!
