Everything is great. The room isn't new, but for this price it is worth. All what you need to stay for a couple of days is here. Very close to the city center.

The Neutor Express is across from the Hotel Neutor. The Express site is more like apartments. The rooms are clean but show wear. The shower was fine, bed OK, location is great - very easy to walk everywhere. The breakfast was outstanding, but across the street. The price was right and I would stay there again though.

The room was clean & tidy but quite basic. Hotel was well located just a 10 minute walk from main tourist spots. Hotel was very reasonably priced and check-in staff were helpful. Breakfast is offered (although I didn’t order it). Perfect stay if you want a cheap and cheerful hotel that is well located

Do NOT stay at this hotel. There were cockroaches in the bathroom, construction work started in the street at about 7 am -right below our room on the street. Because there is no AC, the windows have to be left open. The water that came out of the shower was yellow at first, the rooms are extremely dated, the bed rock hard. When I went to the desk to complain about the roaches and noise, I was essentially told that unless I had a photo of the roaches, it didn’t happen. Because one of the roaches was in a towel, I was told it wasn’t the hotel’s fault because another company does the laundry. When I asked why we were given a room next to the construction, I was told there were no other rooms. I asked why we were not given notice that there would be construction and was told they just found out the week before. I said that was more notice than I received and guests should be given notice and a change to back out, rather than be trapped and find out the hard way. I asked to check out and for a refund for the 2nd night. That was refused, but they did suddenly find another room for me. I declined and took my losses. The manager was nice, but her co-worker seemed to take glee in finding reasons why I had no reason to complain. DO NOT STAY HERE. You will regret it.

I know Austria, especially Salzburg, is expensive, but the price I paid for this room was appauling. The room was old, dirty, falling apart and felt like I was living out of a basement or one of those overly exaggerated desperate hotels you see in movies when the main character falls on hard times. The property was in a good location; easily walkable to the centre of Salzburg though the well lit mountain tunnel; thats the only good thing going for it, unfortunately.

I can have no major faults with this hotel. It's actually two buildings, with one across the road from the other. The plus is the hotel is right in the bus route to the main train station and the bus goes through the old town.

Bus from train station stops right outside the hotel but is was an easy walk to the main sights both in the old town and across the river. Spacious room, good shower, heating which could be adjusted. The only thing which would have made it better for us would be a kettle/cups in the room to make a hot drink!

No lights in the common áreas (corridor, entrance hall...) in the 4 days I slept there, and at least for the whole week before (I got to know It), so not working vending machines either; Broken and sticky toilet paper holder; Dirty plugs and floor; Noisy road. Not in the city center, but beside It, so ok.

We liked the closeness to downtown. We did NOT like the stained carpets, dirty walls of our room, dusty sink, semi-plugged shower drain, broken/taped mirror door of our closet, and overall dirty appearance of the older section of Neutor Hotel in Salzburg.
