very good location, staffs are kind, but room was not cleaned well- floor was sticky, towels had hairs, smelly room, etc. there’re minimum amenities, but breakfast was good in that $.

The location was excellent and it was so easy to walk into the Old Town. The staff was very friendly and helpful and the breakfast buffet was very good. We had a room with Air Conditioning and it was worth it, as it can get very muggy in Austria. Our room also faced the street but with the windows closed, it was very quiet. We would definitely stay here again.

Good location, old style hotel but renovated rooms. Rooms were clean could be improved by having extra pillows provided, changing bedding after a few nights. Bedding not changed during 4 night stay. Cheap soap dispenser offered - nothing else bit basic for a 4 star. Reception staff ok, but breakfast staff so unfriendly and sour. Coffee let out in plastic flasks no service at all at breakfast. Sparking wine not there 2 of the 4 days. Rather cheap bread and tinned fruit. More a 3 star hotel overall. Nice enough good location. Extra charges for air con units in room but safe included.

...Traditional (not old) style hotel but renovated rooms...extra pillows available on request, bedding is changed every day or on request evry 2 days, we are sure you are confusing our breakfast with another hotel and the AC is not offered in winter time

Nice and clean , but not a 4 stars hotel. Never seen a 4 stars hotel which use a key to open the door and the electricity as well by key.

Our third (?) stay here -- walking distance to Altstadt and main Christmas market but peaceful location. Varied and bountiful breakfast buffet. No complaints here!

Lovely visit well worth a stay
lovely hotel within easy walking distance of all main sights. Breakfast really good - it was surprise to have such a nice selection - thank you to the staff. Only 15 mins walk to train station and 10 min walk to old town.

The hotel staff was friendly, helpful, and accommodating! Their breakfast was excellent and my room was very clean everyday! I could not ask for more ! I will definitely go back to stay there again!

Not a 4 star hotel
This is not a 4 star hotel. It’s a dirty, run down, smelly hotel. They claim no smoking, but the room we had definitely had a strong smoke smell.

Thanks for your comments, all rooms have a smoke detector which will go on if anybody smokes so we suppose you are confusing our hotel with anotherone. We also do not recall any complaints during your stay, in addition our hotel has been completly refurbished in January 2019

Fantastic Hotel
It was a very comfortable stay, out of the other hotels I have stayed at I always end up with a back ache as the mattress is very soft. I checked out after after 3 days with mo back pain... It is a walking distance to Lubzer Gasse and old town, but you get the nice and quite of the hotel too. I would highly recommend it to anyone and will come again in the future too if I visit Salzburg again.

Comfortable stay
The room was very comfortable and clean. The 2 double beds in separate areas made for a very comfortable sleeping arrangement for our family of 2 children. Buffet breakfast was enjoyable. The hotel is located about a 10 minute walk to the Salzburg old town.
