What to do in Sandakan
Sandakan: Gomantong Cave Echoes & Kinabatangan River Safari
"We enjoyed our stay at Paganakan Dii. The room was basic but comfy and the air conditioner and fan were enough to keep it cool at night. The restaurant was basic but fine and the staff were helpful and able to help book tours and transport. The place was quiet, peaceful and had great jungle views. Would recommend!"
"Excellent location to the Orangatangs and the Sunbear viewings. Easy walking to the Rainforest Discovery center. Lots of wildlife . Very scenic jungle property"
"It was only a brief stopover before a river cruise so didn't expect much and I guess it met expectations. Area around the hotel was a little dirty and there wasn't much to walk to. Hotel room was basic (fine) and the sheets and floor were clean. Bathroom wasn't as clean. Had a TV but it came with a 2 prong plug ??? Which makes no sense when its a 3 prong country! Breakfast very limited for western palate - no fruit or breaded things apart from toast. Overall as expected - not sure it's 3 star...
