The hotel location is nice- about 15 minutes from the airport and right in the beach. Unfortunately, the beach was full of seaweed and we could not swim. The Restaurante staff was friendly but very slow. The reception was not friendly and also very slow. Our room was nice and comfortable but loud and we could hear the construction next door and kids in the pool. I would not stay here again.

Great location with a true beach, away from crowded downtown area. I wish they had umbrellas or some type of movable shade, since there is less palm trees or cover. Food was great, just needs a bit more variety. Staff was friendly and so easy to go out and see the island.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. We loved that it was front beach and there were rental cars outside the hotel. They had a local taxi who h made us feel safe. Downside is that it is outdated and old rooms and no closet space. But perfect for an affordable front beach hotel.

Cocoplum was like a sitcom parody version of a beach hotel. Had a blast at times, at times were confused at how everyone elses experiences in their rooms were so different from one another. By in large we really enjoyed, but mostly because of the quirks. Beautiful beach spot, Pablo the main bartender is the man. Great stay!

We had a wonderful stay at Cocoplum. This was our first trip to San Andres. I can’t say enough about Cocoplum’s amazing staff, they went above and beyond to make sure we had a memorable stay. They were so welcoming, courteous and helpful. They coordinated our transportation, island tours and made sure we got the most of our trip. Cocoplum’s beach was only a few steps from our room it was so relaxing and clean. We’ll be returning to visit our friends at Cocoplum!!

Unfortunately the hotel was under renovations and the appearance, and noise was terrible. The fact that not even on a Sunday morning they let you rest with the noise was crazy.

We loved our stay! Loved everything about the hotel. Enjoyed the beach and pool. Lots of amenities near by. Parasailing, renting a side by side and going around the island, booking a boat tour to the keys. The staff are courteous and professional.

Do not stay here. Hotel is on a beach, but a beach that is far from all the main places (to the point where taxi drivers were asking me why I was staying there). What bothered me most is I prepaid for a room for three people with half board (breakfast and dinner included), the staff confirmed this was included in our reservation at our check-in, and then when we went to check out, they added a charge for the full menu price for every single breakfast and dinner we ate there for our three days. The staff confirmed this was a mistake in our bill, but after waiting around about 20 minutes as two people there "tried" to fix it, they claimed they were somehow unable to fix it before we had to leave for the airport (they said they would give me a refund on my credit card later, and they did not do that either). Total rip off. To top it off, found a dead rat/mouse on my balcony one morning. I would not recommend anyone stay at this hotel unless you want to be far away, maybe get ripped off, and maybe find a dead rodent in your room.

There’s a unique layout to the property that will entice travelers, but that’s all they’re selling. There are stray dogs that freely roam the property, cleaning that hasn’t been done in ages, and there was potent smell of urinal cake in our room, along with black spots on our pillows. We left after night 1/3 for a cleaner location.

The only highlight of the property is that is has its own private beach. The rooms are old and poor conditions, no wifi connection available; our reservation was for 3 days but we left after the 1st night and looked for other option within the island. Luckily we found something more accommodating and better price. Cocoplum did not return our money for the 2 days we did not stay.

We have stayed at this property in the past and really liked it but this time we found the hotel to be quite rundown and things needed to be fixed. We have always loved the beach here but this time it was awful with lots of seaweed that wasn't being cleaned up, which in turn left a horrible smell like sewage. I did not swim once in the water because the smell was awful! Although the staff are amazing and food is very good I have to say the hotel itself needs major improvements and updating.
