The property was great! The only issue I had was at the bar area. The bar man was a bit arrogant, ignored me for a bit, and when he took my order I told him it was to go, and he neglected to let the waitress know. So the food got a bit cold waiting for them to pack it to go. Also the first night I got there, I wanted to order food at 8:30pm and he told me the restaurant was closed. When the hours of operations are until 9 pm. Other than that, the place is great!

I got two suites for my boyfriend's birthday and it was excellent. The staff was friendly and helpful . Parking was a little difficult to get to but conveniently placed. They were really helpful in letting my friends check in first to surprise my boyfriend.

Overall property was great. As some other folks said, the homeless problem in downtown SD is real. But you can plan around it for the most part. Only thing that was frustrating was our bed didn’t get made one day.

Property was in a 20 walking stance of Harbor/uss midway Car park winding around and tight to get up some floors Food in restaurant on 1st Night was amazing and so good we went back the 2nd night but it was very poor in comparison- cold, tasteless and despite asking for something to be left off as I don’t like the taste it was left on which meant I couldn’t eat it

This property offers a unique urban experience in a multi-purpose building. It’s not close to anything, but also not too far. The all suite design set above the 11th floor, with the kitchenette, allows one to feel like they are living in the city. If you are used to city walking, you can get to the Gas Lamp, Marina, Petco Park, Little Italy areas w/o too much trouble. Limited dining options in the building, but the Taco Stand and The Diner behind the hotel are great when you don’t want to travel far (Use the back elevator to avoid climbing the hill). Kids loved taking two elevators to get to the rooms.

The overall experience was great. My family and I visited San Diego for the very first time. We were celebrating my daughter’s 18th birthday. We had one hiccup during our visit. The plumbing wasn’t working properly in our original suite. The staff in the hotel were very accommodating and moved us into another suite while we visited the zoo on the following day. Overall I would highly recommend this property. Five stars!!

Not not is the hotel clean from the time you arrive but the staff and the building itself are just very pretty! The area is safe and very walkable. We traveled with kids and had no issues. There is also a shop to grab quick bite!

If you are not a good driver, I don't recommend you book this hotel; very dangerous to drive up to the parking lot located at 7F-11F and to drive down to the street from the parking lot.

The hotel is very pleasant. However, if you are renting a car and need to Southpark, it is the strangest parking lot that takes about 20 minutes to get to a parking spot. It’s torturous if you have a large vehicle.

The room was great, the bed was really comfortable and all the staff were courteous and very helpful. We only stayed for a night, but I would definitely stay there again. It was close enough to walk to the Gas Lamp area of downtown, but there is a small hill to walk up coming back. You could always Uber or get a ride on one of the rickshaws. Being that it's in a downtown area, there are transients that are walk around, sleeping, etc. Just be mindful of your surroundings and stick to better lit streets, most left us alone and I never felt in danger. Also, getting in and out of the parking garage is a tight fit. I have a Ram 1500 truck and I fit fine, but some of the turns and spots are tight.

This is a great option in SD. You are near the trolley system, Gaslamp, Little Italy and Balboa Park. All was nice other than Shake the bar/restaurant left a lot to be desired.

Weekend getaway in San Diego
Great place for cleanliness and updated rooms and location was good for a wonderful breakfast house across the street, “Swami’s”. The only complaint about the hotel was the bar was closed from 11:30am-4:00 daily. You couldn’t order any food or drinks during this time.
