The staff were all really nice and helpful. The room was very clean and provided a lot of courtesy water. The bar had good variety of drinks. Great value for the money, I'd stay there again.

The property is great. The rooms are perfect. when you make a reservation be sure that you understand that it’s extra for parking and there is an extra $37 per day fee which gives you a $35 food credit. We were at the hotel with children and had no intentions of eating there. It was frustrating to know that we had to “use up“ our $35.

The facilities were clean and modern. Restaurant was a bit overpriced for what it is, but the food was good. It was nice to easily connect to Netflix in the rooms. Rooms were small, had to request a coffee machine and mini fridge, but they did bring it up right away. Coffee keurig in rooms is lacking for a 4 star hotel.

The service was good when I got there. But i didn’t expect the room to be as small as it was. Also , don’t pay for valet parking .. for 50 dollars you’d expect great service but waiting 30 mins for your car to be pulled up isn’t right.

There was a buzzing noise coming from the bathroom the whole time. Difficult to fall asleep with that going on. Also parking situation is horrible, the hotel themselves do not have parking so you have to park in a parking garage behind and it’s 25 a night.

I had an issue when I got to this property with the $35 per day destination fee. I was not happy about staying at this property because I did not get to use the amenities that was supposed to be covered by this destination fee. The museum was closed on Wed so I could not go at all my trip was only two nights and also the $35 was told to me as included as a VIP member with Expedia but in the end a Manager Kay was able to fix everything for me and I ended up having a good stay after she got involved I was feeling overwhelmed at first and when I first arrived I met Juan he took my bag to my room and also was very friendly as this was my first time in San Diego. He gave me some tips for paid parking as well as when to park on the street after parking meter curfew. this was very helpful for me. Also, I met Laila who was a big help to me she gave me some areas to look into next trip and also some places to visit when I return. she really took a big weight off of my shoulders and her attitude was very empathetic she showed genuine concern about how I was feeling about where I could consider staying on my future trips. Thank you all for helping me.

Excellent property which has a lot of character. The rooms are well appointed and clean. Staff is excellent. Enjoyed amenities it has to offer. It competes with Pendry in my view and is way easy on the wallet!

This hotel was beautiful and the staff were extremely helpful and nice. They have a restaurant inside the building which was great for our first night there. We booked on of the underground rooms, which was perfect and private. We would love to stay here again!

Excellent staff and good service! The bar and cafe had good food. The hotel was a former YMCA, but the hotel is nicely renovated. Rooms are small but clean and well-maintained. Parking is a challenge. The marina and Little Italy are close. Good value.

I never stay downtown when I come to SD, but the price for the Guild swayed me, and I’m so glad that it did! Waking up with that cute courtyard view in the morning was lovely. It’s close and walkable to everything you want downtown, but it’s still relatively quiet. The staff was friendly and accommodating with my dog, the room was clean and even had 2 things I swear I almost never find in hotel rooms these days: adequate lighting and hand soap! And not jest any hand soap… Le Labo. I will absolutely be back again. For a one-night stay, it honestly felt like a vacation!
