"Beautiful and intimate, Vida Mountain is a sanctuary tucked away from the noise of the nearest city. The food is spectacular and provide a wide variety of options for anyone. Bernice is a fabulous person and she runs this resort with great care and attention, while also respecting people’s quiet and solitude. Perfect for couples and those seeking a high end experience at a very respectable price. Spa, wellness center and hiking trails all onsite. "
"This tranquil hotel is a highlight of our trip. Such a peaceful place. Nice rooms, great beds, entertainment room, full kitchen for guest use and a delicious breakfast is available. Highly recommended and not far from SJO airport. The staff was very helpful and so nice!"
"The overall property is very beautiful, located in a forest setting. The open air restaurant with its observation deck is a great place for birdwatching since there are feeders at the edge of the deck and the staff puts out fruit and seeds early when the birds are active. The staff is wonderful, very helpful and friendly! And the location is very near the river tours and Carara National Park.
The only negative thing we can offer is that the standard room is very basic, and shows some signs of...
"We chose the hotel for it's convenient location in the city of Orotina , where we were visiting relatives .
The staff was good , perhaps a little inattentive on check out. The reception office was closed and I had to look around for someone to return my key.
Be advice there's is a very noisy soccer academy right next door . We were alocated on room 11 , close to the academy . It can be an issue if you are trying to rest early evening ."
"It was very old school.and it was not what I expected.
Quite a unique experience because it is so remote. No regrets, you mighr want a 4 wheel drive.
I was treated like a VIP."
"We booked all 3 pods for a 1 night stay on the way back to the airport after touring Costa Rica and all were excellent, privately located with an outdoor kitchen, toilet, shower, balcony and jacuzzi. Although quite remote, they do offer a takeaway delivery service from a local restaurant, and the town is approx 15 minutes away. Important to note that the transparent pod is down a steep windy narrow path with lots of uneven steps, which is quite difficult to walk up and down and a real challenge...
