Right outside the hotel there are locals vendors with typical food and artisanal products. The road from Medellin to Santa Fe de Antioquia is excellent, its about one hour away from Medellin."

" We had an amazing experience at Portón del Sol in Santa Fe de Antioquia! The pools were absolutely spectacular—our kids had an incredible time and didn’t want to leave. "It’s a very tropical area with many trees,gardens,tropical vegetation and mosquitoes if it rains.It’s near the central area but you can take a mototaxi for just US$1. The swimming pool is good and there are many other activities to do there but the best it’s walking all around the Colonial Area. Good restaurants, museums, churches and if you go for a cultural event it will be even better."
