"We had a really enjoyable stay at the Hard Rock Hotel Tenerife. Check in was quick with a genuinely friendly and helpful front desk team. We upgraded to all-inclusive and found it offered excellent value.
The hotel was busy, which meant service could be a little slower at peak times, but the restaurants and overall facilities more than made up for it. The teens club was brilliant, it was air-conditioned, with a pool table, PS5s loaded with FIFA and other games, it gave the kids a welcome break from the heat (Raul was great with the kids). The pools were excellent, and the sports facilities were a real bonus.
All in all, a very positive experience. We’d be happy to return."
"Great pools, and spa pool, lots of space and sunbeds. Nice food and cocktails at the bar. Lively bar with live music in the evening. Rooms clean and great sea view balcony. Great view of Mt Teide from the outside breakfast patio. Free parking, walkable downhill to town."
"We stayed at the Gran Melia Palacio Isora in August 2026 (2 adults & 15 year old). The hotel is one of the most beautiful properties we’ve ever stayed in with the pool area a particular highlight.
The staff are all incredibly friendly, whether that be in the restaurants, bars, housekeeping or pool attendants - they are a credit to the hotel and we cannot praise them highly enough.
We stayed in a deluxe pool facing room which was huge and had every amenity we could need. The bathrooms were spotless and the balcony was one of the biggest I’ve ever seen. The hotel also accommodated our request for hypoallergenic bedding. My only quibble with the room was that the beds are on the firm side - careful if you’re used to a softer mattress.
The food in all restaurants was a very high standard and service was super quick. You do need to be quick booking the Italian or Nami on the app (we booked as soon as we checked in but by the following morning, everything was booked up).
We would recommend you bring some cans of insect repellent as the flies around the pool area and in the restaurants are persistent and will give you a little nibble. However, they leave you alone when bug spray is applied.
We’d also suggest getting a taxi to Los Gigantes (10-15 mins) and doing one of the whale and dolphin tours. The Flipper UNO tour we went on was a highlight.
Overall, this is an incredibly beautiful hotel, with some of the finest staff in all of Europe. Highly recommended."
"Really enjoyable, relaxing vacation. Hotel prices jumped in last year. Hotel needs to be careful that prices don’t get pushed too high as it will lose some off its affordable charm"
"Venue is wonderful and beautiful. However, for a 5* hotel and the brand The Ritz-Carlton, it could certainly do with some improvements.
1) Pool cleanliness: the pool is very filthy. We stayed for a week ar Tivoli before coming to the Ritz. The Tivoli Hotel pool is meticulously clean. The Ritz seems to not clean their pool regularly. Very disappointing for a 5* hotel.
2) TXOKO poolside restaurant: poor quality food at horrendous prices. Dry meat, pasta with no taste, croquettes for €6 that are less than a bite. Compare this to Tivoli Hotel restaurants by Chef Olivier where they serve real tasty food. TXOKO gets 4/10 from me.
3) Breakfast: options not great, food not great quality, and staff are overworked and stressed. We were served pre-cooked cold fried eggs, and bad coffee in half filled cups from the machine. I wonder who inspected their 5* rating.
4) Lobby smells of diapers and not a great experience to be in. Most luxury hotels smell luxurious and wonderful, you would want to be in the lobby.
5) Check-in vs Check-out: totally different treatment by staff during check-in vs check-out. Both at restaurants (TXOKO) and with the bag storage in the lobby. It’s as if they know you’re about to leave so they treat you differently.
Apart from the above, I think this place could be wonderful if they improved these points. Would rate this place 4.5/5* until they work on the above points."
