"Pool was not heated We came early May and it was still freezing"

"Great hotel close the beach and with a wide range of restaurants within walking distance. Our room was clean and spacious with a nice view over the plaza. Buffet breakfast was good with plenty of choice. The rooftop pool is very small though and there is barely space for any sunbeds. We paid 15 Euros per day for parking in the Zapallito car park (arranged through the hotel) which was well worth it as you can come and go as you please."

"We stayed at SO/ Sotogrande Spa & Golf Resort for our 10-year anniversary and it exceeded expectations. The team made us feel so special with a handwritten note, champagne and fruit in our room, and even upgraded us. The room was beautiful, with a bathtub by a large window and a spacious terrace for sunbathing. The facilities were fantastic for both adults and children. Our son loved the kids’ pool with inflatables and the free kids’ club, he couldn’t wait to go each day. The staff were incredibly friendly and engaging. My husband had a golf lesson, which he thoroughly enjoyed and learned so much from. The spa was amazing, and we loved that kids are welcome in the mornings. Our son really enjoyed it, while we treated ourselves to a couples hammam, massage, and a salt flotation experience, all incredibly relaxing. The gym was well-equipped and I joined a great Pilates class. The restaurants were excellent, with delicious food and great care taken with our son’s dairy intolerance. Overall, a truly special stay, we’d definitely return. "

"I had booked for 3 nights, but due to a family bereavement had to leave Spain early and stayed only 1 night. I understand the terms of the booking (non-redundable etc), but do also think exceptions can be made, however the way it was handled was appalling, no empathy, just a bog standard email saying I had to pay in full, like I said, fair enough, but the clinical and corporate like nature of the response was pretty grim. As for the accommodation, it's decent, nice setting (but you absolutely need a car), relatively quiet and well equipped. However, I obviously won't be returning nor would I recommend giving your money to a business so callous. "
