Great stay. Very clean, very friendly, good food. Nice bathroom and comfortable bed. Almost perfect - would have been even nicer if there was a chair/s in the room so as not have to sit on the bed.

A lovely traditional hotel with wonderful accommodation. Our room had a beautiful, deep bath, big enough for two, plus a proper strong shower. The hotel is spotless and the staff couldn’t have been more helpful

I stayed in the single room which was ok and very comfortable. The blind is broken on the main window and the shower is a nightmare as it’s got a big rainfall head that you cannot escape , kept having to switch the shower on and off to soap up , no good for ladies if you don’t want to wash your hair !!Other than that a beautiful clean property and the breakfast is amazing and a perfect location on the town square , definitely would stay again maybe in a different room though

It was a very comfortable stay for us. Good Service and very clean. The breakfast was good perhaps could have been a bit hotter.

Lovely room, friendly staff. Continental breakfast included was really good as well. The bar was quite lively downstairs (Friday night), but doesn’t stay open past midnight so not a big issue. Would recommend A *

Lovely staff and building. Worth paying extra for cooked breakfast. Everywhere beautifully decorated with ambiance. If you’re staying for longer ask for a bigger room than no. 12 as virtually no storage or seating space. Suited us fine for 1 night.

A lively pub-restaurant with good rooms and staff.
We stayed Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. We were checked in quickly and cheerfully even though the pub was very busy. Our room was spacious and attractive with a lovely bathroom with bath and shower. The room and the public areas were very clean and well-maintained. We ate dinner in the pub/restaurant with our family who live nearby. Food and service were excellent. We had been told that there would be a cold breakfast box delivereD to our room on Christmas morning as the pub was closed all day. This was okay for us. On Boxing Day morning the kitchen was open and we had a choice of dishes cooked to order. Very nice. Checkout was quick and cheerful again. Minor criticism of the room was no chairs to sit on which made our Christmas Day breakfast a bit uncomfortable. Also, the bathroom mirror was very high up the wall so I couldn’t see in it, and the one in the bedroom was not very well lit, otherwise very comfortable. We would return.

We felt the choices of breakfast items a bit limited. Many guests do like the option of a good English breakfast when staying in a hotel.

Beautiful room with very nice features, super clean bathroom, set in idyllic surroundings. The one thing we would add is more variety in the breakfast, perhaps some yoghurt.

Thanks for the incredibly comfortable stay. Plenty of free parking and a friendly, smooth check in. A very quiet room, almost black-out blinds combined with super comfy beds for a great nights sleep. Stylish and roomy bathroom with everything you need.

Well worth a stay
If you like somewhere a little "Quirky" sloping ceilings, wonky floors, wobbly room table and low doors you will enjoy your stay and depending what side of the bed you sleep you may feel you are going to roll out. Room decorated befitting the property, great spacious ensuite with enormous shower. Take care on the stairs with typical Georgian size treads but carpet worn in places. Restaurant in more more style and comfortable. Enjoyable evening meal although we felt a little expensive. Breakfast a more modest affair. Staff very helpful and friendly.

Ok but not ideal for business traveller
The staff were very helpful and the bed was comfortable and clean. I was however disappointed to find that the hotel no longer serve evening meals on a Sunday (the website says it does and I had arrived early evening Sunday desperate for food!) also the room does not include a desk area or dressing table with seat..I was on a business trip and had to sit on the bed to work on my laptop.

I do apologise that you wasn't able to get food on your arrival, please can you confirm where you read we serve food on Sunday evenings so that we can correct? If you do look to stay again please let us know in a note or via a phone call that you will be working in your bedroom and we can allocate you a room with space for a desk and chair and have this ready for you on arrival.

We had an excellent stay. Rooms were well decorated and thought out with plenty of character. Staff were friendly and helpful .The food was cooked well and the pub/ restaurant down stairs was a nice environment. Parking was Easy.

Give the usual chain hotels a miss and stay here.
Went to the Duxford airshow and required two nights accommodation, The Coach House, Potton was far better priced than any of the chain hotels near Duxford. As it turns out the price was not the only plus, The Coach House is a lovely old character property, however it is well kept,clean and decorated up to date. The staff were very friendly, helpful and nothing was too much trouble. The room was a good size, very clean and so much better than any of the chain hotels. The Coach House was buzzing and is obviously very popular with the locals and visitors alike, plus it's situated in the lovely little town of Potton which was only 15 minutes from the A1 but felt further away given it's semi rural location.
