The room was spotless and so well appointed!!! Hooks on the screened porch for towels and wet swimsuits, is a great example. The kitchen had everything I needed for simple meal prep. and I appreciated the keurig. The staff was friendly & helpful. The grounds felt safe for a solo traveler. The boardwalk and outdoor chairs made the gulf easily accessible! The individualized parking was so convenient & appreciated!! I absolutely recommend The Shalimar⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This resort is newly reopened after rebuilding from the hurricane. It’s very tranquil and relaxing. The resort management is pretty much hands off, but lets you know to contact them if you have needs. The resort is situated on a quiet stretch of the beach. I lived the light aqua colors and seahorse theme. Those are two of my favorites. My only wish is that I could have stayed longer. I’ll definitely be back.

Beautiful, clean, modern beachfront property on Sanibel Island. We stayed in Room 108 (2 queens + full kitchen) and loved the large screened patio, comfortable beds, heated pool with ocean views, and easy beach access with amazing shelling. Free washer/dryer access was a nice bonus (bring your own detergent). Wristband keys were also a great touch. Parking can be tight, and there are stairs to access the office/rooms (small elevator available). No daily housekeeping — you exchange towels at the office. Overall, a peaceful and well-done property that we would absolutely return to.
