The staff were very good. Room was fine. There is no restaurant on site. 1 good cafe close by. No shops, need to get a tuc-tuc and go into town. Also no pool on site. There's one across the street, costs 5 Quetzal (about $1). No fridge or coffee maker.
I’ll put my main idea first: do not think that you would not cancel a hotel before actually coming here, and here is the hotel’s nonsense.
The place is extreme inconvenient and almost offers nothing to eat in this village, so I ask for cancellation. The worker firstly found excuses to reject my claim, after I showed him the policy on the booking page, he then changed his mind. According to the policy, they should give me a full refund except for the first night and overall tax, and i agreed. After the initial agreement, they ask for the burden of other taxes simply derived from their operation, such as income tax, that the fees of my room not even attain its starting point. I argued, and the worker and the manager refused to talk by saying that they do not understand English and rejecting to use translator.
Good luck for whoever decide to book this hotel. Run as fast as you can.
El hotel muy limpio y tranquilo, y de facial acceso.

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service
Disliked: Amenities
The Pescador Hotel was under construction during our stay, and due to extremely thin walls this was very disruptive as it often started early in the morning. There was only 1 staff member present for the duration of our stay. It was clear he worked incredibly hard to make our stay pleasant, and at no fault of his own, this was unfortunately a vain effort. There was no air conditioning nor a fan, the wifi was incredibly poor and there were no cold drinks or coffee available for purchase. The rate for double occupancy of a two-bed room was not revealed to us until the third night of our stay. We believed to be paying only $31.15 USD per night but were instead charged $78 USD per night for having two people in the room even though the room had two beds. We cancelled our stay early and found a different hotel with better rates and more amenities down the road.
We arrived late, but were well and pleasantly welcomed by the young man. He warned about the difficulty of regulating the hot water in the shower. It was very difficult to regulate and probably needs to be fixed.
The young man went out of his way to help us get settled in and assisted us in several ways.
The hotel is connected with a restaurant in Santiago Atitlán and he did have to contact hem several times to get info on how much I owed and a few other things.
The hotel is north of town and is probably a little far for people not accustomed to walking, but my guess is that moto-taxis are available.
There is occasional noise from the nearby road, but it didn't bother me at all.
