"This place is actually quite the gem. The only knock I have is that you cannot check in until 4:00 pm but the staff departs about 3:00. So you do a self-check in. That is absolutely fine except we donโt know that until we arrive at 4:30 pm. You have to travel six miles to Floyd to find dinner as the Tuggleโs Gap diner closes after lunch. Also their sign says the store is open 24/7 which is not true. It closes at same as the cafe. Very nice rooms and they are clean! Great location very close to an entrance of the Blue Ridge Parkway. Give them a look!"

"The Oakdale Inn is our favorite place to stay while in southern Virginia. The Inn is wonderful, the rooms comfortable, the breakfast is very enjoyable, and the location is very convenient to anything that you're doing in the area. The Innkeeper (Erin) is a fantastic and helpful aspect of your experience, too. Highly recommended!!"
