Hotels near Sao Martinho Church

"It is not easy to get in and out of the hotel by uber or Bolt. In order to get to the hotel by Uber, we had to get an QR code for the driver to access the road to be in front of the hotel. Each QR code costs €2 and hotel guests have to pay for it. I requested the code via Expedia message which blacked my email address in the message and the hotel did not respond. I also reached out to the hotel by WhatsApp to get an QR code and I never received it. We ended up to lug our suitcases from the Bolt drop off place to the hotel. Very inconvenient. "

"Casa Holstein Quinta de São Sebastião is a beautiful survivor of the golden age of Sintra mansions. The grounds are stunning and the location is fantastic. The morning breakfast was a continental type of high quality ingredients, however after a few day it did get tedious. The hotel is in need of a major refreshment, most of the pretty antiques in our room were sagging and stained. We really enjoyed the ensuite bath and extra room that we had access too. The staff was friendly and English was not a problem, however they will sometimes disappear. I think like many small hotels the staff is stretched thin. Our initial plan was to spend the week in Sintra, but when the internet failed after our first night we decided to move to Lisbon and we left on Thursday. Although the internet failure was not necessarily the hotels fault we found it to be a deal breaker as everything in the Sintra area requires planning and timed tickets. The staff was very understanding and let us check out three days early with a refund. I would stay again, its a beautiful survivor of the grand mansions of Sintra with a great location and romantic grounds and views of the wonderful Sintra area."

"Historic hotel close to centre, old-world charm and very comfortable rooms to lounge in. My room was large, had plenty of cupboard space and a lovely view over surrounding countryside. Good breakfast, with friendly restaurant staff. Great place to stay."

"Villas da Cintra was very conveniently located. Only about 5 minutes walk from the train station. It was a pleasant surprise to have a skylight in the bathroom. It kept the toilet area bright. The patio area in front of the room was perfect for watching sunset. The kitchenette was fully equipped except for a kettle which could be easily substituted with a pot of water on the stove. It was very nice that oil, vinegar and salt were provided along with dish detergent. "

"Romulo was extra helpful and helped me with shuttle to airport on last day. Old building with updated amenities with original grandeur. Decent location to central Sintra. Assess is easy and quick with Uber. Otherwise, it takes a good stroll on hilly terrains. Breakfast is good and basic to fuel our activities"

"Endroit un peu difficile a trouver par contre , mais avec WhatsApp cetait plus facile , j'aurais aimer avoir le micro-ondes et le petit frigo dans ma chambre au lieu de entre les deux chambres ca aurais éviter du bruit . Odeur de refoulement d'égouts dans la salle de bain ( mais ca lair normal au Portugal ) sinon tres belle place . J'avais mal compris par contre je pensais avec la suite nous avions acces a la cuisine partagée également, ce qui n'est pas le.cas."
