Terrible and dirty place with bugs. Service is poor and the rooms don’t even have basic amenities. The hotel is not at all maintained. The owner of the property is very rude to the customers when asked for a service and doesn’t care about customers. Worst hotel I stayed so far! Please, avoid at any cost!

Um desses hotéis que já viu tempos melhores (retro’ agora), mas é super bem cuidado. Quartos até grandes. Café da manhã Covid no quarto se quiser, bom e na hora certinha. Atendimento super!

Simple and clean. Friendly staff. Located in the busy street of Augusta, with lots of restaurants and bars (although I was only there for 2 days during the lockdown, so everything was closed). As for safety, it is advised not to use your phone while walking on Augusta when it is dark and quiet. Overall good value for your money.

Hotel is very close to all main tourist destinations. Service was good and staff was very accommodating. Very gay friendly place, if you are a part of LGBTQ community.

Bad attitude and Someone open our door!
I’m going to start with the good. The front desk guy Marco was fantastic. Super friendly accommodating and everything you want when you walk into your hotel. He set my expectations high. The kitchen staff and cleaning staff was great too. The breakfast was delicious. I only had three problems. First, I completely understand the bathroom facilities are old. I can work with that. So you won’t have hot water instantly unless you run the hot water in the sink for 2 minutes. But the toilet leaks water too. So it was more annoying. The other front desk guys I didn’t like. I’m American and I’m traveling for work. My girlfriend was with me too. However the other two front desk guys were sassy and I didn’t their attitude. They kept asking my girlfriend what room number she was in. Dude! She is with me. We walked into the front door to together and came down from the elevator together. Then the bald front desk guy asked her when she checking out. The other guy had glasses and was sassy. Keep in mind these guys didn’t even talk to me. Yes I speak Portuguese! I operate services for intercambio for Brazilian students. The third problem was someone opened our room door. I believe it was a staff member. Because the door was left open with the door tag hanging on the handle. Our door is next to the elevator which is old. It has a normal door in front of the open elevator door. There’s two of them. So they could have easily hidden. This happened in the evening.

Comfortable centrally located hotel
Simple but comfortable worth value for money hotel. Centraly located in the area full of bars and restaurants therefore it can be quite noisy in the night. Excellent breakfast provided, nice and friendly staff in the restaurant and reception. Safe and clean.

Definitely will not stay here again.Bad experience
The place was in bad shape. Lamps and blow dryer did not work, needed replacement. My room was in the back of the hotel, which was great to muffle the sounds from the street, but that meant that the wi-fi only worked at the door of the room. If I was to sit at the table to work, there was no signal. Bed was not comfortable and rooms were noisy (you could hear people in the rooms next door). Breakfast was ok, definitely not great, and the management refused to turn the AC on were it was served. That represented a warm and stuffed room during breakfast.

Bad location
There is a bar in front of the hotel, all night long you can't sleep. Staff is very poor in service. They have no interest to help you with anything. I strongly recommend not to book this hotel. Definitely not with family and kids.

Excellent hotel during the week, but awful at the weekend. I slept about 3 hours Friday->Saturday because of the night club the other side of the road and the insanely thin windows, along with a couple in the room next door making as much noise as possible the entire night during their...nighttime activities. Would stay again during the week, but the place should close at the weekend.

Got the job done
I stayed 2 nights, the first night, with only 2 people in the room was not that great. The beds had no springs and the room was a bit cramped (but there was a closet so huge, you could put another bed in there!). The second night with 3 people, the room was a million times better (but the cost of the room went up). Drawbacks: only 1 room key is given, no matter how many people stay in the room. The breakfast was ok but no hot items. Also, of all the hotels I stayed at in Brazil, this was the only one that ever handed me a tv remote at check in. Pluses: convenient to the main streets I wanted to visit and to a metro and was able to find good places to eat and drink near by. The customer service was helpful and spoke English.

Good for its location ,close to the business main area -PAULISTA Ave. - was quick stop for 2 nights We got good rooms at the 7tg abd 8th floor and to the back with large size balcony looking over a sporting club pool and tennis courts -

This hotel met my expectations and needs except for having very spotty wi-fi. Even with limited English, the front desk staff was very helpful in arranging pizza delivery and a taxi to the airport.

Great Budget Hotel in Sao Paulo
The rooms are comfortable but very basic and could do with some pictures/paintings on the walls to liven up the atmosphere. The laminated floors ensure that the room is clean and dust free. The bathroom while small is functional and adequate and I enjoyed the larger than normal shower space i.e. I did keep bumping my elbows on the side panels/walls. The internet connection/WiFi worked without problems and was speedy. Bed was comfortable and the towels and linens were fresh clean and crispy. Like most hotels in Brazil the foyer/passage area in front of the rooms could do with a weekly vacuum...just to keep them clean. Breakfast buffet was very adequate with a good selection of fruit, fruit juice, cereals, cheese, cold meats and bread selection. The hot breakfast of scrambled eggs and a local meat offer changed everyday. Ample supply of coffee, selection of teas and hot chocolate with a good selection of sweet pastries on offer. Reception staff are very friendly and helpful with some very good tips for dining out and finding shops that you may need like banks, pharmacy etc in the area around the hotel. Finally, the housekeeping staff are very honest and must be recommended on this - when I stayed in the hotel I forgot my Gold ring (sentimental value) on the night stand and even though I had checked out, when I returned to the hotel 3 hours later to ask about the ring, the ring was in safe keeping with the reception - Well done and Thank You.

Not a pleasant place to stay in Sao Paulo.
This hotel it is not a three star hotel whatsoever... very very basic...staff unhelpful, loads of refurbishment while I was there....very noise and dusty. I was disappointed with everything.

Lovely hotel-- we extended our stay
- The hotel is beautiful and the price is good. - The breakfast buffet was delicious, plentiful: cereals, several fresh fruits, several types of bread for toast, many types of rolls (some sweet), cheeses, meats, milk, yogurt, juice, coffee, tea, etc. - There is a upscale supermarket a couple of blocks away. - By day the neighborhood looks a bit iffy, that's because there are many trendy clubs located in the grungy buildings that come life at night. - We were on the fifth floor (facing front) and the noise was minor. - Rear rooms overlook the very posh São Paulo Athletic Club. - Many bus lines go down Augusto street, but it is quite a long walk to the Metro. - Paulista street is a 20 minute walk (or a quick bus ride).

The Hotel is very basic, fine for the price. However, I was warned not to "turn right" out of the hotel at night. The street immediate in front of the hotel and very noisy, all day and night!

Tired old hotel that smelt stale throughout. Poor breakfast, decent wi fi. Coveniently situated 10 mins walk from Ave Paulista, but beware - it's on the skuzzy part of rua Augusta with prostitutes, passed out crackheads and rent boys just outside your hotel (to be fair tho, nobody ever bothered us). We chose it because it was cheap and regretted it - if ever there was a time it was worth investing an extra 20 bucks to get a better hotel this is it.

Very helpful and friendly staff. Breakfast a bit thin. Excellent Wifi. Major building work right next to hotel (March 2012) with pile driving during daytime which made it poor as a place to work during working hours. Looks extensive. Very well situated with local bars and supermarket, shopping centre, food court near by.

Good location, comfortable hotel!
Our stay at Moncloa Hotel was enjoyable and perfect for seeing the inner city of Sao Paulo! The hotel is a bit old looking, but facilities were in good order, airconditioning, bathroom e.t.c. The free breakfast was a welcome start to the day. Eric at reception was really great in providing helpful directions in english. Both old and new downtown are easily accessible by foot, if prepared to walk, and the subway system is really clean and accessible. The surrounding area was of no real safety concern! It seemed to be frequented by a cultured young demographic that enjoyed the small restaurants and bars on the street. Weekend was a little noisy, the rest of our stay was fine. Highly recommend this hotel for value and location.

Hotel in central Sao Paulo
We only stayed here for one night because we were flying out of Sao Paulo the day after and our plan was to just stay in the hotel and take it easy. Unfortenately they could not offer anything to eat since it was a sunday. The rooms are ok and the staff was friendly and helpful.

This hotel was very clean, with an excellent breakfast. The wi-fi service worked the entire time. The room service rates were cheaper than many local restaurants. The room was nice and the beds were comfortable. Very good hotel.

Good quality hotel and Cheap
The hotel is really good especially for the prices on offer. The lower price reflects location which is perhaps not the best, however during the day it is very safe. At night, there are several clubs open (throughout the street). I also noticed that there were some working girls in the area. However, the clubs did not affect the hotel and I felt safe near the hotel at night as well as during the day. The atmosphere seemed ok. The proximity of the clubs was a boon for me as it meant I could easily get back to the hotel without having to take a late night taxi. There are also some good resteraunts nearby. The hotel itself is very good with helpful staff and good food. I would come back to the hotel and recommend to others.

The hotel is on a popular street near the bars/clubs. it's about 10 minutes walk to the Paulista ave. The room is fairly clean but a bit noisy. the staff is friendly but one of them doesn't speak any english.

Hotel Moncloa - great little hotel
Great value-for-money little hotel in a central location with clean rooms. Helpful and friendly staff, speaks English, which is important an important factor. Subway nearby, and great restaurants within walking distance. Breakfast spread is decent. Surrounding location is OK in the evenings, given the presence of restaurants in the area.

good value for the rate we paid.
The hotel is located near Paulista Avenue, not in the best neighborhood but we did not have any problems walking trough the area even at night. Rooms are cleas, beds are too small and not too comfortable, breakfast is good and the guys in the front desk were very friendly and assisted us whenever we needed help. I would recomend it for short stays.

A nice hotel w/excellent cost-benefit relation and next to Paulista Avenue Beds are quite comfortable and sheets are soft, cozy. Shower is excellent, w/a strong stream of water. Room is clean and has AC. Also, the breakfast is really good, w/a nice variety of breads, cakes and fruits. Can't complain about the employees, they were polite and helpful. Totally recommend it

Bom hotel, equipe atenciosa, roupa de cama e banho clarinhas. Cafe da manhã bom e a contento (com mais de 3 frutas, frios, bolos, ovo, salsicha, torta salgada, iogurte, paes, sucos...) tudo gostoso. Banheiro antigo, mas nada q desabone, ducha muito gostosa, amenites. Quarto grande, silencioso. Uma observação, sentimos falta de tomadas proximas as cabeceiras das camas Foi uma boa estadia, nos atendeu ao propósito, apesar do colchao de molas ja apresentar desgaste, mas nao foi um problema maior porque o quarto era de 3 camas solteiro ( nao havia disponivel a configuração de 1 cama de casal mais 1 de solteiro na hora que reservamos Certamente voltaremos. A região é central e por isso demanda cuidados p transitar

Recepção nada agradável. Instalações precárias, janela do quarto no primeiro andar não trancava, causando insegurança. Uma coisa é o prédio ser antigo, outra é não ter manutenção.
