The Host of Harvest Hostel is very good and kindness. There are also the service to Otaru Station.

I stayed here for two nights and it was a very cozy and nice guesthouse! The rooms were very clean, the bed was very comfortable, there was enough space behind the bed and even a shelf to put your belongings on, they had enough shower rooms and bathrooms so that you could always use one, the staff was friendly and they free offered rides to Otaru station every morning as it is hard to reach by foot- as you have to go over very steep streets, that's why I recommend taking a taxi for the first time, its only 500 yen and you really don't want to go all the steep hills up with a lot of luggage.

駅から歩いて10分ほど勾配のある道を歩くとつく。11時消灯。周りに店はないので駅まで行こう。送迎車もあるようだ。

Good for a night stay if no other choice
Clean room with shared bathroom and toilet. Quite hard to find even with GPS. Additional JYP 500 for self-parking is not reasonable compares to other hotels or hostel with similar room rates that I stayed provide free self-parking and even with breakfast.

Cheap room for a night's stay!
Be sure that you inform how many guest are staying in the room. I got charged extra on that day of stay for a room that can fit 2 people but was only sold for 1 guest.

Nice little hostel
I stayed there for two nights. It's a pleasant stay. It is a 10mins walk from otaru station. It's pretty easy to locate, just follow google maps. The bedroom, toilet, bathroom and its surrounding is clean. They also provide breakfast for another 400 yen and coffee and tea for free. They have beer and some food sold there too with reasonable price. Overall it's good.

The uphill location could have been challenging as we were travelling by train and on foot, but our wonderful host gave us a ride downtown for dinner and gave us the info we needed for an easy, inexpensive taxi ride back. Then our host drove us to to the train station in the morning! The futon beds were too hard for Canadian sensibilities, and the upstairs neighbours thumped loudly, but the spaciousness, temperature, and kitchen and lounge facilities were much appreciated.

Nice Hostel, perfect for those with less luggage
It was a really nice place to stay, with friendly staff, a comfortable room and also pretty stable wifi. The only fault I can find would probably be the journey getting to the hostel, which as many mentioned is a little difficult due to the hilly slopes. Nonetheless, the hostel would be a perfect place to stay if you're on a budget and don't have too much luggage on you as it provides the most basic, comfortable accommodation when traveling around Otaru.

Quaint guesthouse
This guesthouse has great views of Otaru and is a short walk from the train station. The facilites are very clean. There are a few house rules which may annoy some people but if you are fine with a curfew then i recommend staying here. The owners and staff are friendly and have good information about the region.

Only 10 minutes walking distance from Otau station
I am a 73 years old man. This type guest house is my first experience. But washroom and toilet are new and clean. Also rooms are clean ,and provides many electrical outlets and wi-fi.

Everything was very clean, spacious, and the hosts were friendly and helpful. The only problem I had was that the dormitory beds were wooden structures with a futon mattress that wasn't very thick, so my bed was hard and I had a difficult time getting comfortable. I would recommend that they offer an additional mattress for people who are used to softer Western-style mattresses and pillows. It was a little bit of an uphill climb to get there from the station, but the location was still convenient. I was glad they had some good signs out by the street to help find the place.

Simple, clean hostel. Will go again!
I cycled from Sapporo and arrived after dinner. The hostel is near the station (maybe 10 min walk but uphill) and tucked in a residential neighbourhood. Don't pick this place if you're looking for a party centre! Curfew is at 23:00. I chose to eat the set breakfast the next morning. It was traditional Japanese food and filling enough. The beds are simple futons, but I'm used to this and so I was comfortable. The bunk beds have curtains the stretch across the whole bed to give you privacy. The staff live in house and were kind and helpful.

很溫暖又便宜的民宿
1.從小樽站走到民宿約15分，且有1段大斜坡，下雪時下坡較滑易跌倒。 2.可在小樽車站門前搭計程車到民宿只要560元日幣，很方便。 3.民宿老板很熱情的介紹小樽好吃好玩的地方及餐廳，每日上午7:30-9:30每半小時即可免費載運客人到小樽車站。 4.房間為日式榻榻米，隔音較差，但暖氣很溫暖。

정말 친절합니다. 도심과 거리가 먼 것이 흠이지만, 체크아웃 후 직원분께서 역까지 차로 태워다 주셨습니다. 다시 오타루를 방문하게 된다면, 이 곳에 한 번 더 묵을 거 같습니다. 묵게 될 분에게 조언하자면 주위에 편의점이 없어 들어가시기 전에 필요한 걸 사서 가시는 게 좋습니다. 해당 숙소에서 가장 가까운 편의점은 20분 정도 걸어가야 있습니다.

겨울에 여행을 했는데 창문으로 찬바람이 숭숭 들어옵니다 ㅜㅜ 히터를 켜주시긴햇는데 저는 일본어를 잘 몰라서 중간에 계속 꺼졋네요.. 숙소가 역에서 좀 많이 멀어욥 그래도 체크아웃할때 픽업서비스가 있어서 좋았어요 ㅎㅎ

오타루역에서 걸어서 15-20분 정도, 눈오던 겨울에 언덕이라 그런지 가는길은 좀 힘들었습니다. 대신 시설이나, 아침밥도 굉장히 맛있게 먹었구요, 1인실 풍경도 좋았습니다. 하우스 주인분과 가족분 모두 굉장히 친절해서 감사했습니다. 오타루에 가면 또 가고싶네요.

오타루 역에서 13분 정도 거리에 있는데. 구글 지도로 찾아갈 떄 역 앞으로 나와 큰길을 따라 약간 돌아가는 편이 나음. 추천길은 거리상으로는 가깝지만. 언덕을 타고 가는 길이라 추천하지 않겠음. 욕실은 성별 각 1개씩이라 약간 북적거리는 느낌이 남. 시간을 잘 맞추면 그런것도 없음. 침실과 공동공간이 붙어있다보니 저녁 11시면 이용이 제한됌.

편안하고 가족같은 분위기의 게스트하우스
오타루 역에서 걸어서 15분 정도 거리에 위치한 숙소로 구글맵 켜고 가시면 어렵지 않게 찾을 수 있습니다. 스탭분들 모두 편히 지낼 수 있도록 배려해주셨고 돌아오는 날에는 역까지 차로 데려다주셔서 기차시간 기다리며 눈내린 오타루 거리 산책도 여유있게 할 수 있었습니다.

素敵なワンチャンがお出迎えしてくれるアットホームな場所です。
スタッフの皆さんもとても親切で、小樽のお勧めの場所も教えてくださったり、駅まで車でおくってくださったりと親切な宿でした。またゆっくりお伺いしたいです。朝食も400円で提供くださるみたいなので、今度はそちらを活用したいと思っています。また利用したい The staffs were very kind. They taught Otaru's recommended places, and they drove me to the station by car. They offer breakfast at 400 yen, so I'd like to eat it next time.I want to stay again.
