"The air conditioning was very poor, the room was like a sauna, we had to get up at 2am and open the door as it was too hot to sleep. No window in the room to let air in. The rest of the property was fantastic, the restaurant food excellent too."

"The staff was very friendly and accommodating but the first room I got smelled like mildew. Asked for a new room and got upgraded at no charge to one of the newer buildings. Beautiful location but even the new room was uncomfortable, minus the smell, all the furniture was dated and the room was dark. I don't think I would return but really appreciated the staff for doing their best."

È un po' lontana dalle spiagge e dalle località sul mare e la stradina dell'albergo accede alla statale con un incricio un po' percoloso. La nostra camera era comoda, ma c'era odore di umido, forse perché è un casolare un po' antico. Bagno comodo ma senza bidet. Si sente la mancanza di un frigorifero per tenerci al fresco l'acqua. "We had a great stay for 4 days. They helped us check in with ease and brought our luggage to the room for us. Gave us a list of recommended restaurants which did not disappoint. Staff also arranged for us to get picked up from the train station. This was helpful because during the month of August many Italians vacation so the train station seemed somewhat deserted. Very minimal taxi drivers can be found. The room was beautiful and clean. Stove top, pots/pans, fridge/freezer, balcony, safe,...

"Really nice scenic view to Volterra, typical oil trees and fields around. Calm and relaxed evironment, ideal for longwalks and relaxation. Pool is also enjoyable even in October. Room was nice and clean, wifi working well. Restaurant was excellent, the wild boar dishes can recommend! Staff friendly and helpful. Washing clothes was also possible so if you are mid trip or longer staying that is also an advantage. Enjoyed our stay there!"
