"We were in the junior suite with pool, the pictures don’t do it justice, a fantastic room with beautiful features and great amenities. All the staff were lovely and helpful, Martina in particular was fantastic helping us with ongoing transport and dinner recommendations. We had a wonderful stay, would highly recommend."

"The whole experience was perfect. The location is in the Sassi area and the accommodations were very well appointed with elegant modern design juxtaposed with the ancient architecture of the building. The staff were charming, knowledgeable of the area amenities. We will be back to stay longer."

"Gattini bills itself as a 5 star hotel. My partner and I would not normally pay the extra amount that that 5th star seems to require, but we were desperate to have a refuge from the August heat in Matera at the end of the day … and staying at Gattini was a great decision. It really is quite wonderful and didn’t seem so expensive once we experienced all the good things that Gattini offered. The breakfast was the best we had in 51 days of travel in Spain Portugal and then Italy. Our thanks to the great staff for a great experience in Matera."
