"On the photos the hotel with its swimming pool looked good to me but the pool was half empty and closed moreover I found my room not very clean especially the bathroom."

"This is an excellent choice for seeing Saumur. It is in an old building with a lot of character. My room was large, with wooden beamed ceiling, tall windows that opened, and a limestone fireplace I wish I had in my home. Ensuite had shower and had plenty of space. Bed was comfortable. Staff was friendly and quite helpful. The hotel is part of a very large restaurant with good food and good service. "Lovely hotel in a great location for visiting the Abbey, exploring the Loire valley, wine tasting, or simply breaking up a long journey. The restaurant is excellent, although the breakfast looked underwhelming. The pool and parking are a great asset. Our second stay and we will return."
