"We enjoyed a generally pleasant stay at Riu Palace. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and well maintained, and the food offered both good quality and a satisfying variety. The beach itself is attractive and easy to access, though it is relatively small for a property of this size. That limited beach area creates a noticeable shortage of palapas, which means guests need to wake up around 6 a.m. to secure one - a significant inconvenience. The consistently windy conditions also reduce the availability of waterโ€‘sport activities. In addition, the elevators in the hotel buildings are slow enough to become frustrating, and the nightly entertainment felt more like an underwhelming school performance than a professional show."
