10/10 Excellent

"Quite easily the worst breakfast i have ever had. Cooked breakfast was 10 mins late arriving for an 8 oclock start time. The bacon was just cooked. The Sausage was terrible i left most. The Fried eggs took another 10 minutes top arrive when they did the bottom of the egg was cooked, the tops were semi cooked and the egg tray had several MM of oil covering everything, the mushrooms had some sort of unidentifiable sweet taste ... ? Overall the worst breakfast I have had I would say. On the plus side all the bedding and towels were clean, but only because you must outsource the supply. Hopefully I'll never stay there or any any of your overseas properties (COMPASS HOSPITALITY HOTELS) again. Thanks for asking, I've told my friends, and business contacts. Dave."

"Great location overlooking the beach. Very close to the open air theatre. About a 20 minute walk to a really good fish & chip shop (the Lifeboat) with eat in area. Staff very friendly and helpful. Hotel was clean and tidy. Body and hair shower gel in the shower and little bottles of shampoo and conditioner and shower gel on side. Breakfast good with enough choice. Only downside was the parking. I had emailed to book parking but there wasn’t anything booked for me. I was given a permit to park on the road for the 3 hours of the day left and then to change the time at 9am the following morning for 3 hours that day. So while not ideal, it was acceptable and wouldn’t stop me staying there again. Overall a lovely experience."

"Lovely big comfy bed. Whilst the room was clean and comfortable the decor was a bit tired. It was a hot day and the only method of cooling was a small fan and we couldnt open the windows. Also the curtain runners need sorting as we couldnt close one of the curtains properly Staff were friendly and efficient and breakfast was very good."

"Stayed here a few times, sometimes in the self catered apartment & sometimes in the hotel (all part of the same building) & it’s always great. The rooms are always clean, there’s a small bar with an honesty box and Jonathan & his team are very friendly and always make you feel welcome. It’s a 10 minute walk down to the town (15 - 20 minutes to the harbour) so it’s quiet in the evening but for those not wanting to walk there’s a reasonable amount of parking in the town which will save the walk up hill coming back (or take the funicular to save the climb). Free parking outside is always a bonus but, saving the two best bits until last, the views over the town and harbour from the green across the road are incredible and the freshly cooked breakfast is fabulous, you’d have to go a long way to get better."
