A little peace of Paradise! Beautiful guesthouse on a hill in Lombok. Views are to die for, be it the sun setting behind Mount Agung on Bali, the fishermen’s colourful boats sailing home from a nights fishing, the lights in the darkness, the fishermen on the ocean or the stars in the sky. Gill (British Expat) and her staff do everything they can to make your stay magical. Staying poolside and relaxing or taking a trip to the hidden Gili’s to snorkel and eat fish freshly plucked from the sea, it’s up to you! Restaurant recommendations or meeting other expats for dinner one night, a fascinating insight into life in Lombok and a truly lovely few days. Not does amazing massages poolside! We are sorry not to stay longer and plan to be back.

The heart of Lombok

The location of the villa gave an amazing view across the beautiful bay. The environment was really luxurious and at the same time we felt very much at home at the villa. Gill was a fabulous host.she couldn't do enough to help make our Lombok experience the best possible. She is an outstanding advocate for the beautiful island and its amazing people. The staff at the villa were so kind and accomodating. They had amazing 💓.

Great service and great location

Good location overlooking Sengiggi. The two female staff are fantastic. One also provides a great massage service. Meals made on site and great value. 5 minute taxi to Sengiggi and 20 minutes to Mataram ($6AU)

Homely and idyllic Villa in the hills

We had a wonderful stay at Villa Karingal. The owner, Gill, is really friendly. You can ask her anything - she knows the island like her own pocket and she will advice you well and honestly on what is worth seeing during your stay. She will help you arrange it all and she works with a trustworthy transport/touring agency. The staff is also very welcomming and will help you with whatever you need. The location up in the hills is beautiful and the view is amazing. You will have to be prepared to take a taxi or motorbike if you want to go to the beach or the city (5-10 min). Gill was even kind enough to drop us off in the city a couple of times when she was going out. The Wifi works on and off (very fast when working), but that is just island standard. All in all a pleasant stay which we would definitly recommend to others!

Location, location!

Great hotel with very friendly and helpful staff! Perfect location right across from the beach. Great snorkelling with the turtles! Many thanks to Andy and the staff for a pleasant four days!
