"This was my first time staying in a Ryokan, the staff were very helpful, the room was a fantastic size, and the personal onsen was perfect. Transport here is surprisingly convenient for being in the mountains. The only downside I had was whomever was staying on the floor above was very heavy footed and caused me to wake up at 3am."

"We had an amazing experience here. The staff were amazing, the rooms very comfortable, the food fantastic. It is a bit further away from the main activities of Hakone, but the team will help you navigate the bus system, which was relatively efficient. "

"A traditional Japanese experience. Hot tub on balcony was amazing. Note that the only option for a shower is also outside on the private balcony. Food was very good and room was large and comfortable for 2 of us."

"What an amazing hotel. The highlight is the onsen, absolutely incredible. They have 2 onsen rooms, male and female. Both rooms have 2 onsens, indoors and outdoors, as well as a sauna. Changing rooms are clean with hair dryers, towels, lockers and other amenities. Staff were very kind, allowed us to borrow umbrellas when it was raining, they have a giftshop inside too. 10/10"

"A really great family hotel in the heart of Hakone. Itโs very clean, the staff are absolutely amazing and the kids can enjoy free access to Yunessun (the onsen water park next door).
We enjoyed the buffet food, unlimited ice cream, and all sorts of drinks and snacks peppered around the lobby floor. They just look after you very well here.
If you have kids, I definitely recommend staying here for a few days while exploring Hakone and enjoying the onsens. We will come back again. "
"The owner greeted us and provided a tour of the premises when we arrived at 4pm. Dinner was served at 6pm. So it is possible to have a brief onsen if you arrive on time. Note, the onsens are separated by gender and switch each day. One is double the size of the other. So, it worth trying both. It is a truely authentic experience. The cuisine was also traditional Japanese meals. The service was extraordinary. Make sure to book dinner and breakfast in advance. Note, the clientele is mainly Japanese nationals, which a clear indication that this lodging and hot spring experience is are one of a kind. We left with a few kimono that were available to purchase at a reasonable price. We hope to come back as both the owner and his wife, and all the staff were absolutely lovely! Thank you again."

"We had a nice little stay. My kids enjoyed the pool table and the private onsen. We slept Japanese style on the floor with a family of 5. We didnโt have any issues. We enjoyed some adult beverages as well as ate dinner. Dinner is nothing special but it was perfect for us. The staff were amazingly friendly and even spoke English to us. We would for sure stay again! There is a bus stop right outside of the hotel. It about a 15 min bus ride to the Ropeway. Itโs also 10 min drive from Yunessun where we stopped on our way home. "
