Terrible experience
The air conditioner was broken and it was so hot in my room that I couldn't sleep. I called the front desk but they told me I had to wait for the next day. The most ridiculous part was the remote control screen was broken so you can't even tell what's the temperature setting. I asked to change to a different room, but they told me all the remote control was broken like this. :(

staff are very friendly and helpful. The fresh flower decorations are super gorgeous. The dining environment and food are very good. Included breakfast choices are awesome. The room is spacious and nicely decorated. The beds are very clean and comfortable. We enjoyed our stay there very much.

Do NOT book this hotel. Stay away!!
I can't believe this hotel claimed to be a 5-star hotel. All the furnitures in the room were dirty, stained and disgusting. The room smelled like mould and smoke. The air conditioner didn't work in the first room that I was given so that I had to move to a different room. I had to move my own luggages because there's NOBODY to help me. They also don't clean the floor. I dropped some breadcrumbs on the floor accidentally, they were still on the floor after they "cleaned" the room.

Like this hotel....
Great little hotel and great location. After leaving without a delivered package I have been unable to communicate in anyway with the hotel. Frustrating as other than that it was a home run!

first night I stayed was a deluxe king room which was more comfortable than the room one level higher, King suite I think. Which was a little more rustic, lots of wood, and bunch of lamps. Still, nice stay,.

the hotel room is very spacious and clean, but carpet is bit old and the shower stall showed signs of mildew. the hotel staff are friendly and courteous. the gym is new and spacious with top of line equipment. the restaurants on second floor are highly recommended.

Front desk staff not courteous. Courier service could not deliver my goods to days prior to my arrival for the reason that I had not checked in. Other hotels would accept parcels when they see guests with reservations. I had to call the courier company many times for the delivery.

Convenient location for airport / exhibition
Convenient location near Hongqiao airport / exhibition centre. Accessible by taxi only. Limited eating options, and hotel is starting to get tired. Generous room sizes. Acceptable for price paid. Hotel sauna is closed.

Skyfortune review
Was on a trip from Canada. Stayed at the Skyfortune for 13 days. Staff were friendly and very accommodating. The restaurant on the second floor has fantastic dim sum. If you go to the gym you may have to activate the air conditioning by remote. The hotel gave me two room upgrades during my stay which made for great value. I would stay here again.

The hotel is close to one of the two tech centers of Shanghai. There are not many interesting places to go. The stuff is friendly. It is in general clean. The swimming pool and the gym are OK.

Not a good experience.. the entrance and style first impressed, but.. room is like a stuffy London hotel. Hotel was almost empty and they put us behind the lift, so no sleep.. DON'T try to order anything from the downstairs cafe, they don't have 90% of the menu and what they do have is not good. Trying to make Italian in China is not a good idea unless you have a resident Italian chef. It was OK for a special of £70 for a night, but just OK. Wouldn't recommend..

Be aware of taxi fares
Be careful with the concierge service. It seems they have a 'fix' with the cab drivers. The fare from The SkyFortune hotel to Pudong Airport must not exceed 180 RMB. The taxi I got had no driver's picture/number and ended up paying 260 RMB. This was not the first time.

Worth a look
3rd stay at Skyfortune. Big rooms, occasionally the AC is tricky, but no big deal. Ask for a room away from the elevators. Will continue to stay here

I have used this hotel many years for myself and my staffs, but this is my last and i told them so! very dirty carpets! never been changed nor cleaned after so many years! stains everywhere! very poor lightings! as dim as a romantic restaurant! poor internet until you scream many times ! fridge not working! toilet tank leaking water in the bowl , constantly flushing, all night ! called them so many time and they would show up with a plunger!! I gave up!!!

Stay there for 3 night, rooms are large and was a pleasure to stay there. However the surrounding is a bit weak for this class of hotel. Until midnights you can hear neighbourhood closing doors or chatting.

Nice hotel with large room and living room area
The room was large, with comfortable beds. Lights and curtains were on a remote. TV was a smart TV. staff was friendly and helped us navigate the subway. The rugs could be replaced. The room was warm; AC did not work so I asked front desk for another room. They explained no AC yet because it was too early in the season! They sent up a maintenance man to unlock the window. This helped, but AC would have cooled the entire area.

Skyfortune was a disappointment
I visited this hotel in February 2014. The hotel has a very nice appearance from the outside but our visit was very disappointing. First of all, we ordered Club level rooms at a premium. Like many other China hotels, we thought this would include access to a "club" which would have a nice place to sit, meeting rooms, free beverages, etc. We later found out from the front desk "oh, we closed the club room 2 years ago". The room was nice and spacious, but the carpet was filthy with many stains. I was afraid to walk around in bare feet. The room was a very warm 27C, but changing the room temperature on the controls didn't cool the room down. If I just put on the fan, it just made the room warmer. The very few of the hotel staff spoke English which made communication difficult. Getting a taxi at this location is difficult as it would take an average of 20 minutes to get a cab. There were never any cabs waiting outside. Their breakfast is $100RMB and the food is mediocre. We noticed a number of hotel staff members at breakfast filling up their plates. I have never seen this at a hotel before. The hotel room was a reasonable $130RMB before tax, but I would never stay there again.
