Good but need better located power outlets
It was ok. Good breakfast. However the power outlet was in the hall and not next to the bed. The power outlet that was at the desk was covered due to a panel of the desk.

The tram noise is shocking as the hotel should have triple glazing to stop the noise. Outdated decor in poor condition. Staff were very good though.

Hotel is centrally located right along the main street. It was noisy due to the city train/tram passing by until 10pm. Property has an old charm feel. Breakfast was excellent.

I recently spent 2 nights at the Rocentro Hotel in Sofia, Bulgaria. This is a small hotel, but the location is good, one can walk from there to Sofia city center. The rooms were rather dated. No English TV. Also the bathroom could have been cleaner, mold around some of the tiles. Amenities are almost non-excistant. The hairdryer is the ancient type with a hose and takes forever to dry ones hair. Breakfast was adequate, nothing special, but enough to start the day. The coffee machine dispensed a fairly decent cappuccino. From the online description there is a bar, but what they consider a bar was laughable. Behind the hotel is a restaurant and another one across the street named Mamin Kolio. This is a lovely place with Bulgarian country decor, Bulgarian music and good food. There is also a convenient store close to the hotel and several takeouts. The lady at reception was very nice, pleasant and above all helpful. She even offered to help me with my luggage to the taxi.

The room I was in smelt really bad of damp and mold, so much so that I had to leave as I couldn’t sleep at all, the WiFi was also terrible. Definitely shouldn’t be classed as a 3 star hotel.

An older type hotel that has not stood the test of time. The water in the shower took at least 5 minutes to get to a medium temperature and the pillows should have been replaced years ago. On the plus side, it is actually good value for money for those on a budget and the breakfast was plentiful.

Excellent base to experience Sofia, short cab or tram ride from the train and bus stations. Strong shower and wifi. Clean and secure. Breakfast a bonus. Staff very helpful. Recommended.

Good but could be better
The carpet had some bad stains on it, so could have done with a clean and the pillows were thin (we did find some thicker pillows in the wardrobe), otherwise it was clean and the bed was comfortable. Good location and breakfast was decent to say it was free.

Nice hotel in Sofia center.
Nice hotel on a good location, you can go walking everywhere. The english speaking staff help with transfer from/to airport. The carpeted room was good with big windows, TV only in bulgarian, minifridge and it was very clean. The breakfast was ok, could start earlier than 7:30 am and have diferents breads and cakes.

Great bed and breakfast on a budget.
My room looked exactly like the one on the picture. Nice, clean, in a mint condition as good as a budget hotel can be. Free breakfast downstairs makes it even more convenient. Location is perfect. It is literally 2 blocks away from everything.

Our room was a reasonable size, and had a small balcony. Breakfast had a variety of foods. Reception staff were helpful when we asked for directions and restaurant recommendations. The tram that runs in front of the hotel was quite noisy at night. The hotel is relatively close to the pedestrian shopping street and landmarks.

A short break. Hotel location was perfect being close to all types of transport. Hotel staff friendly and breakfast good. Hotel a little older but clean. Would recommend.

The hotel is in good location, besides of that, I did not find anything to mention as good. The receptionists does not know English good enough, on top of that are not familiar with atractions in the city and in general not really comunicative. The room ia quite clean, but very simple and the facility is old. There is no liquid sope and hair conditioner, we bought it ourselves, the bads are OK. Breakfast is not bad, for the price we payed, didn't expect to much more. Overall, if someone is looking for a place only to sleep in low price, the hotel is OK. I will not return to that hotel.

Basic but it worked
A decent basic hotel that was clean and comfortable though it felt a little jaded. The location is good but it is still a bit of a walk if you've been out around Vitosha in the evening. I had a room at the front of the hotel, first floor and though you can hear some tram noise they don't run too late, until about 23:30 and the windows are good so the noise is minimised plus it had a little balcony. The room had very recently been repainted, still some masking tape in places, so looked okay though the bathroom was a bit small and the shower was in a high sided bathtub that was a bit slippery and not too easy to get in or out off, but it all worked. Can't comment on the breakfast as it only runs from 7:30 to 9:30 and I didn't manage to get up in time. The staff came across as a bit surly but I had no issues though I was a little nervous when I asked to leave my bag after check out and they instructed me to leave it right by the entrance. Was still there when I returned though, so I guess it was okay.

Good location OK room
Location of hotel is pretty good, about 5 blocks from Serdica metro. Beds were comfortable. Room was tight, but workable. Older hotel. Not the friendliest front desk, so don’t expect help or ideas. However, we noticed the gentleman seemed to be working 24 hours a day for the two nights/three days we were there, so maybe he was exhausted.

city center hotel needs some improvements
the hotel location is within walking distance to city center, near to train/bus station. the hotel condition is OK. the air conditioner in our room is leaking water when we turned it on. They said they will change room for us but they never did. we had to use the plastic bag to hold the dripping water. the comforter to cover the bed is dirty, it looked like it has not been washed for awhile. Customer service here needs some improvements. The staff are very cold, not friendly, and not helpful. The breakfast is exactly the same every day.

The room was nice, however, there were few outlets in the room and some were in inconvenient locations. There was also a controller for the A/C that I had to call down for to receive. However, the biggest issue was the lack of wifi coverage throughout the room. I was only able to have coverage near the door to the room.

Great location at a great price
I had a nice, clean room with the windows to the inside yard, hence quiet. The bathroom was adequate, with a big clean bathtub, but no water stopper, which reception claims are taken by guests. There were some imperfections on the walls, but it didn't bother me, as the bed was comfortable, TV had s few channels (1 in English, 1 in Russian in addition to Bulgarian channels), and a fridge. Breakfast was pretty good, staff were helpful and spoke English. One suggestion I made is for them to have a bottle opener at the reception, as it's helpful for the guests sometimes. I recommend this place for those who are watching their budget, but still enjoy comfortable location for walking around while visiting this city. Oh, importantly, there is an excellent Bulgarian restaurant just across the street with mostly locals eating there, hence great choices and prices.
