The room was very clean, spacious, and comfortable, with a nice view. The rooftop jacuzzi was a great bonus, and breakfast was included. The staff were very kind and helpful. There is a bus stop just outside the hotel with service every 20 minutes, but we decided to walk to town since it’s only about a 20-minute walk.

Hotel Britannia is wonderful! If possible, book a room with balcony and view. The staff is outstanding. They make you feel at home, and services are superb. Five stars is not enough.

Lovely stay at a well located hotel. Very friendly staff and a great breakfast. Hotel was very helpful when we had issues with our onward journey and were accommodating throughout the stay.

Hotel Britannia is a classy, comfortable hotel just outside the main part of the city. Breakfasts were great and the staff was amazingly helpful especially when we had some car issues. (We were able to park there but if you are driving it is probably better to plan on parking in town and taking the bus that conveniently stops right at the hotel.) The only complaint we had is that the water in the hot tub was not very warm.

I'm so glad we chose to stay a little outside the city center. The gorgeous walk to town would have been missed otherwise. The views were incredible from our room. The staff was not only helpful but seemed to love their work which made our stay even more enjoyable. If I get the blessing of visiting Sorrento again, this is where I will stay.

This Hotel had amazing staff. They were accommodating and friendly. The hotel is about 25 minutes walk from the center of Sorrento so it can be a bit of walk but the views were amazing as it sits above the town.

My room wasn’t so good .. ( made the reservation last minute ) but all other rooms are nicer with sea view or Garden view in this hotel , the stuff and the owner are helpful and very nice and they do everything to make you happy and comfortable …There is a beautiful garden with a lemon tree and sea view. I would go back there ( not in the same room)

Fantastic. I had looked at a lot of hotels when making a reservation for Sorrento and I could not have been happier with the one we chose in hotel britannia. Perfect location only a 10 minute walk with beautiful scenery down to the main area of Sorrento town. After a hectic and stressful day of travelling, we were welcomed by Giuseppe with an ice cold beer and coca cola for my wife which was a lovely touch. I will definitely return again when next visiting Sorrento.

Lovely hotel about a mile from centre of sorrento. Clean and well kept. Staff very helpful. Bus stop right outside hotel. If walking from the hotel there is no path close by. You have to walk on the road for a short distance on a busy road. Continental breakfast is good. No kettles in rooms for making hot drinks

The staff is excellent. Liked the outdoor space and including our balcony. Beautiful view. Did not like that we had to ask for an iron. The bus stop is right at the hotel. There is no sidewalk so walking to and from a nearby restaurant felt unsafe. The jacuzzi closes way too early so we were never able to use it.

Staff are not helpful. They had us waiting for a bus that would never come as they said the bus we needed stopped right outside. It in fact did not actually drive pass our hotel at all. Needless to say, we walked everywhere that required us be on time for something. Ants crawling everywhere in the room and you must give your key every time you leave for the maid to go in. However, no new towels or new soap was ever given. They simply made the bed and took the garbage.

Our was really great and the staff were really amazing/extremely helpful. The room was great ( we had a partial sea view) but it’s definitely a no frills hotel room. It’s also not very “modern” but had the most important item, an A/C so we had no complaints. The bathroom was also pretty small with a small shower and not much counter/vanity space. Breakfast was good, mostly continental with some warm time. It was great for a quick bite before an excursion or for a slower morning. Beyond providing great recommendations that also helped to arrange the excursions and day trips for us. It felt like the options the hotel provided were sometimes better than what we saw online. The hotel itself really well located. It’s not “central” but was only a 15min walk or a less than 5 min bus ride into the downtown area. We actually walked majority of the time because it felt so easy and even as two young women we did not feel uncomfortable walking really late or early. Not being in the middle of it all actually was great for us because the main downtown area felt so crowded. Even if we didn’t want to go all the way into the downtown area there were still some nice restaurant right near the hotel and the hotels bar actually made surprising great limoncello and aperol spritzes. Hotel also had some really gray views

The hotel was very clean and comfortable. The rooftop jacuzzi and sitting area was wonderful. The gym was well equipped and clean. The staff were very helpful with area information and can book things for you with transportation right at the hotel. You can walk down to the center area with all the shopping, restaurants, laundry, etc. just be aware that the first part doesn’t have a sidewalk and the traffic is heavy, fast, and the road is curvy. It was a bit hairy walking. There is a bus available. There is a wonderful family owned restaurant right near the hotel that I would recommend. The air conditioning in our room never worked. They said they were working on it. You can’t leave the door open because the traffic is so noisy. The sea view is nice and there is a tiny balcony available. The garden view rooms look at a wall it was odd. I reserved 3 rooms with the option to pay at the hotel. The plan was for each of the rooms to be paid for by the couple staying in them. Unfortunately they charged my credit card for all 3 rooms without my authorization. They said it is a system thing that they couldn’t rectify. They need to fix this. It was infuriating as my credit card wad charged $3,000.00. They said a credit would take a month or more. The breakfast was excellent and the staff in the room were very helpful, friendly, and efficient.

The Hotel Britannia staff were very helpful and courteous at all times during our stay. Room was basic but very clean and comfortable. Towels were thin and as I have found in other European hotels, no wash clothes provided. Soundproofing between rooms was poor.
