"The most needed improvement for me would be to replace stained carpeting and furniture in the rooms. Once you have tried and failed to remove the stains, the only thing left to do is replace the soiled carpeting and furniture. It may be clean but it looks like crap."

"The staff was very helpful . Our GPS stopped working and a staff member went on her computer to print out mapquest directions for us . On the negative side, the TV screen was blown so TV did NOT work . I reported this to staff at check in . We were not planning on watching TV so that was not a big deal . There was a used towel hanging on the back of the bathroom door , so the cleaning staff missed that one . Other than that , we were satisfied with our stay ."

"The owner was very nice. This is a quaint old inn about 15 minutes from Oneonta. I had my own room and bathroom. I heard from friends that the breakfast was really good, but I didn't eat there. The place was very convenient and well worth the price."

"The room was very clean except for the nightstand, which should have been wiped off. The bed was very comfortable. I received a text from the hotel at 8:00 am, which woke me up. I would stay at this hotel again."

"This was an excellent stay! It was a surprising little hideaway in what I consider to be a remote place. It’s not The Four Seasons, but it is clean, safe, quiet, offering all of the things that one needs for a comfortable stay. The only thing in the room that didn’t work was the actual phone, which, if you have a cell phone, is really not a deal at all. Pretty comfortable bed, nice spacious bathroom, ample parking, and wonderful staff! Bob was so great and very helpful! And, I was so very happy that food delivery service services actively work in the area and Fred’s Inn is down the street from a pretty substantial shopping center. If you have to stay in Norwich New York, I do very much recommend Fred’s Inn."

"It’s convenient and clean for an overnight stay. I wouldn’t commit to more than one or two nights. Be careful on the way in to the parking lot you might catch a flat. The craters are enormous!"
