My family and I enjoyed our stay very much. The owner, Peter was so helpful and friendly. The place had a beautiful yard and we had a lemon tree right outside our unit, which was very clean and cosy. The beds were comfortable with electric heated blankets to keep us warm during the winter, and the kitchen and laundry facilities were adequate for us to do some light cooking and washing. We will definitely stay here again when we visit Christchurch and will recommend it to others!

It's location makes it a great base to explore the Queenstown area. Lying just outside Arrowtown means easy access/choices for dinner. But dining options within the resort grounds are already very good. A short a scenic drive along Lake Hayes from Queenstown means we could still enjoy the surrounding lakes, though not from our room :). Our favorite accommodation for our 12 day South Island self drive trip. Beautiful, well maintained and landscaped grounds. Unreservedly a world class resort....

Nice quiet hotel very near the airport with plenty of parking spaces.

Clean rooms, excellent staff service and no issue with parking

Receptionist was friendly and helpful, and property was clean and cosy. Its a perfect stop before heading to christchurch airport, being a very short drive away!

It was the most wonderful start to our holiday in New Zealand. The Dairy Private Hotel was our first stop in Queenstown. It is a 200m walk into town and the location can’t be more perfect as it is still very peaceful and quiet at night. What stood out is the service of the staff. On the first day of my stay I was a little disappointed to find out there was no bathtub in my room. On the next day during breakfast one of the lovely staff (whom i Forgot to take his name) told me they’ve arranged...

Very spacious and very clean apartment unit. Completely happy with it. Appreciate arrangement for late arrival. The best motel that we have stayed in the South Island!

The room is big and clean. Our daughter likes the bathtub, it’s a family friendly motel. We enjoyed the stay at here.

Very nice place for a few nights

Really beautiful heritage property. Very welcoming and homely where we had full access to the lounge, dining area, kitchen (w delicious cookies, fruits and cake) for all guests. Excellent hosts who went out of their way to help us print needed tickets and visas as well as local information. We will definitely look forward to returning here on our next visit to Christchurch. Five Star property!

During our 7-day stay, waking up each morning to see the sunlight hitting Deer Park Heights across the lake was a highlight. The rooms are clean and spacious, and the atmosphere is quite peaceful. While the location is a bit outside the town center, the hotel provides a very convenient and punctual hourly shuttle. This was a huge plus, as it saved us from the stress of driving and hunting for parking in town. The staff were incredibly friendly and patient with all our requests—overall, a...

Pros 1. location 2. friendly reception Cons 1. rooms need to be aired properly, especially if previous occupants had been cooking.

Very clean and spacious room and bathrooms. Great comfortable bed and pillows. Friendly staff at the reception counter and restaurant. Special thanks to Gin (reception) who helped with dinner recommendation and reservation at Tutto Bene and Patrick at the restaurant who welcomed and looked after us during breakfast. If I visit Christchurch I will definitely return to Hotel Montreal.
