"This pub was like a home from home. The staff were friendly and were especially welcoming to our Labrador. The room was spacious and comfortable, and the welcoming touches for the dog were a sign that he was really welcome - it was our first time staying in a hotel with him. The location was great - right in the middle of Tenterden within walking distance of lots of other restaurants and pubs. The food in the pub was also great, and there was a selection of wines and beers too."

"Whilst we only live 15 minutes away we have stayed here on several occasions as it is the perfect place for a night away. Everything makes you feel so relaxed and the team are very welcoming. It has a great atmosphere with good food and the breakfast is wonderful. The country setting is lovely too but within easy driving distance of the motorways, railway and ports. I would definitely recommend"

"This was a really disappointing day. We found the rooms were not very clean very dusty dirty corridors the whole hotel is dated. The problem is the cleanliness. When we had breakfast, the plates were not clean. The whole pool area was dirty. The toilet et cetera were not very nice. Wi-Fi was okay. Breakfast wasn’t great. The milk had gone off in the large container and I told them it had gone off and it took about 20 minutes for them to replace. For a four star hotel, it wasn’t a nice experience. The Jacuzzi was also broken. It was my husband‘s birthday. I put that in the notes I also told staff and they didn’t even bother to wish him happy birthday. "

"Hotel was clean and in good condition. Rooms were good and bed sizes were good too - 2 singles were higher than expected. Toiletries were lovely. Would’ve liked to be able to order room service but it isn’t an option for dinner or breakfast. Basic breakfast included was ok. Overall, would stay again."

"Had everything we needed, in a great spot, breakfast great, quite noisy in the room until the pub closed but to be expected when staying in pub rooms. Helpful staff, great pub. Water pump/drain system in the bathroom was really noisy but suppose this can’t be helped with old building like this."

"Lovely golf course and breakfast was great but slow. Room was very dated and the bed had a huge dip in the middle. Very outdated and an old TV so couldn't even put on Netflix and relax."
